Abstract:
A method for presenting an image on a display device (100) includes modifying the image by applying a geometric transformation to the image so that an area of the image on the display device is presented to a viewer with higher density of pixels than that in the rest of the image (S18).
Abstract:
The invention consists in a method of and a device for adapting 3D content to an observer wearing prescription glasses. The method comprises the step of—providing information about prescription glasses of the observer;—calculating a value representative of the optical deviation created by the glasses from the provided information, for a given direction;—estimating a depth adjustment value as a function of the calculated value and—modifying the depth of the 3D content according to the estimated depth adjustment value.
Abstract:
A method and system for tracking playout of auxiliary content (e.g., advertisements) accompanying a digital cinema feature presentation commences by first detecting identifying information in an auxiliary content file associated with the auxiliary content while the auxiliary content undergoes playout. The length of time the detected identifying information remains active is established. Thereafter, both the auxiliary content file(s) and identifying information activity length for which identifying information was detected are logged to track the auxiliary content files that underwent playout.
Abstract:
Network management infrastructure operable to be connected to at least one remote home network comprising at least one terminal (T21, T22) connected to a gateway (BRG2), wherein said infrastructure comprises a processor configured to connect a physical network interface (PNIB) of the infrastructure to the home network.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for reducing core network traffic caused by migrant users of a public wireless network are described including receiving a DHCP discover request from a wireless client device, determining if there are enough IP addresses available to assign one of the plurality of IP addresses to the wireless client device, transmitting a DHCP acknowledgement including the assigned IP address and a lease duration to the wireless client device, determining if a lease timeout has occurred, releasing the assigned IP address if the lease timeout has occurred, receiving a first hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) request or first hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS) request from the wireless client device, transmitting a media access control (MAC) pre-authentication request from the wireless client to an authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) server, receiving a MAC pre-authentication response from the AAA server and providing access to the Internet via the wireless client device.
Abstract:
Method of identification of an appliance user from a plurality of users of an appliance, comprising: a) monitoring (52) at least one interaction of the appliance user with the appliance; b) monitoring (54) at contextual information relative to the appliance environment; c) using (60) said interaction monitoring and contextual information monitoring results to identify the appliance user.
