    Abstract: A power source apparatus of a car is provided with contactors (2) connected to an output-side of a battery (1); a pre-charge circuit (3) made up of a series connected pre-charge resistor (6) and a pre-charge relay (7), which is connected with a contactor (2) to supply auxiliary charge to a capacitor (21) connected to a car-side of the battery (1); and a control circuit (4) to control the contactors (2) and the pre-charge relay (7). The pre-charge resistor (6) is connected in parallel with a contactor (2), and the pre-charge relay (7) is connected in series with that contactor (2). The control circuit (4) switches the pre-charge relay (7) ON to pre-charge the car-side capacitor (21), and then switches the contactor (2) ON to connect the battery (1) to the car-side.

    Abstract: The car power source apparatus is provided with a driving battery 1 that supplies power to the car's electric motor, a voltage detection circuit 3 that measures the voltage of batteries 2 in the driving battery 1, a plurality of voltage detection lines 8 connected in parallel between the input-side of the voltage detection circuit 3 and driving battery 1 voltage detection nodes 9, and a decision circuit 6 that determines if a voltage detection line 8 is open circuited from the voltage measured by the voltage detection circuit 3. Each voltage detection line 8 has a voltage drop resistor 10 connected in series. The voltage detection circuit 3 is provided with input resistors 13 on its input-side. The car power source apparatus makes computations on the voltage measured by the voltage detection circuit 3, which is from the voltage divider formed by the input resistor 13 and voltage drop resistors 10, to detect voltage detection line 8 open circuit.

    Abstract: The battery system has a battery 1 having a plurality of series-connected battery cells 2, a voltage detection circuit 3 that detects each battery cell voltage, discharge circuits 4 to discharge each battery cell, and a decision circuit 5 that judges the condition of the connection between a battery cell 2 and the voltage detection circuit 3 from the detected battery cell voltage measured by the voltage detection circuit. The voltage detection circuit 3 measures discharge voltage of a battery cell 2 with the discharge circuit 4 in the discharging state, and measures non-discharge voltage with the battery cell 2 in a non-discharging state. The decision circuit 5 compares the difference between the detected battery cell non-discharge voltage and discharge voltage with the normal voltage, or compares battery cell discharge voltage with the normal voltage to judge abnormal connection between the battery cell and the voltage detection circuit.
