摘要: An inrush current protection circuit for a solid state lighting fixture is provided. The inrush current protection circuit includes one or more current limiting devices and one or more switching devices coupled in parallel with the one or more current limiting devices. The one or more switching devices are configured in a first state when the solid state lighting fixture draws an inrush current from a power source. The inrush current is provided to the one or more current limiting devices when the one or more switching devices are in the first state. The one or more switching devices are configured in a second state when the solid state lighting fixture draws a steady-state current from the power source. The steady-state current bypasses the one or more current limiting devices when the one or more switching devices are in the second state.

摘要: The present disclosure discloses a soft-start protection circuit, comprising: a protection chip, a first switch tube, a second switch tube, a third switch tube, a fourth switch tube, a first capacitor, a first resistor, a second resistor, a third resistor, a fourth resistor, a fifth resistor, a sixth resistor and a seventh resistor. In the soft-start protection circuit of the present disclosure, the voltage of a voltage input end and the control end voltage of the first switch tube may be monitored; therefore, when there is a change in the two voltages, correct turn-on and turn-off actions may be performed in the soft-start protection circuit, increasing the accuracy of protection and at the same time reducing the turn-on speed of switch tubes to a certain extent, thus effectively reducing the impact of an impulse current on components and systems. Correspondingly, the present disclosure further discloses a circuit protection integrated chip.

摘要: An apparatus includes a mechanical switch and a solid-state switch, such as a diamond switch or antiparallel-connected thyristor pair, coupled in series between an AC source and the load, such as a substation input transformer. The control circuit may be configured to connect the AC power source to the load by closing the mechanical switch and turning on the solid-state switch thereafter. The control circuit may be configured to interrupt a connection of the AC source to the load by turning off the solid-state switch and closing the mechanical switch thereafter. Operations of the switches may be coordinated with a fuse coupled in series with the solid-state switch to address different types of fault conditions.

The overvoltage protection apparatus includes: a determining unit, having an input end connected to an input end of the apparatus and an output end connected to an input end of a soft-start unit, and configured to determine whether an input voltage at the input end of the apparatus exceeds a preset protection voltage; and the soft-start unit, having an input end connected to the input end of the apparatus and an output end connected to an output end of the apparatus, where if the determining unit determines that the input voltage does not exceed the preset protection voltage and remains stable in a preset delay time, the soft-start unit delivers the input voltage to the output end of the apparatus; and otherwise, the soft-start unit does not deliver a voltage signal to the output end of the apparatus.

摘要: A method for improving safety of voltage regulator is disclosed. In order to improve safety of a voltage regulator, a MOS-FET is disposed on a source power lane that receives power supplied from a DC power supply. A set of voltage regulators is connected to a set of fork power lanes, correspondingly, branching off from the source power lane. PTC thermistors are disposed on a surface or in the vicinity of semiconductor chips of the voltage regulators. When temperature at any one of the PTC thermistors increases, a protection controller turns off the MOS-FET. When temperature detected by a temperature sensor incorporated within the semiconductor chip has increased, each of the voltage regulators turns off the MOS-FET via a base management controller.

In one example implementation, a method includes obtaining, by the one or more controllers, a signal requesting a black-start of the power system using the battery energy storage system. The method further includes increasing, by one or more controllers, a system bus voltage to a nominal voltage level using the battery energy storage system for a start period according to a start ramp. The method further includes maintaining, by one or more controllers, the system bus voltage at about the nominal voltage level using the battery energy storage system during a normal period following the start period.
