    摘要: An aqueous coating resin composition comprising a water-dispersible nonionic resin (A) and a water-dispersible anionic core-shell resin (B), characterized in that the water-dispersible nonionic resin (A) contains a polyoxyalkylene group-containing polymerizable unsaturated monomer (a1) at 5-50 mass % of the total polymerizable unsaturated monomer used for production of the resin (A), and the water-dispersible anionic core-shell resin (B) contains an anionic group in the resin. It is possible to provide aqueous coating compositions exhibiting both satisfactory coating manageability and finished appearance.

    摘要: This invention provides a water-based primer composition comprising (A) an aqueous dispersion of modified polyolefin, which is prepared by dispersing a modified polyolefin (a) in an aqueous medium, the polyolefin (a) being produced by modifying an unsaturated carboxylic acid- or acid anhydride-modified polyolefin (i) having a melting point not higher than 120° C. and an weight-average molecular weight within a range of 30,000-200,000, further with a compound having polyoxyalkylene chain; (B) at least one kind of aqueous resin selected from aqueous urethane resin, aqueous acrylic resin and aqueous polyester resin; and (C) pigment; the solid weight ratio of the component (A)/component (B) being within a range of 20/80-85/15, and containing the component (C) in an amount within a range of 0.5-200 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the total solid resin content of the composition. Use of the water-based primer composition enables to form coating film excelling in water resistance, humidity resistance, gasohol resistance and the like.

    摘要: The present invention provides an aqueous intermediate coating composition comprising: (A) a resin containing hydroxyl and carboxyl groups with a hydroxyl value of 100 to 200 mg KOH/g and an acid value of 20 to 50 mg KOH/g; (B) at least one curing agent selected from the group consisting of melamine resins and blocked polyisocyanate compounds; and (C) flat pigment particles; the molecular weight distribution of a curable resin component comprising component (A) and component (B) including from 30 to 50% by weight of a component with a molecular weight of less than 1,000, and 10% by weight or less of a component with a molecular weight exceeding 100,000; the proportion of component (C) being from 2 to 15 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the resin component; and when the intermediate coating composition is applied to an undercoating film, pre-dried at 100° C. for 30 minutes and then heat-cured at 145° C. for 30 minutes, the film thickness shrinkage percentage of the cured coating film being 20% or less based on the film thickness of the coating film after pre-drying. The invention also provides a method for forming a multilayer coating film using the aqueous intermediate coating composition.

    摘要: This invention offers a method for forming multilayer coating film by successively applying onto a coating object a water-based first coloring paint, water-based second coloring paint and clear paint, and simultaneously baking the resultant first coloring coating film, second coloring coating film and clear coating film, in which the water-based first coloring paint (A) comprises polyester resin and curing agent, the polyester resin containing benzene ring and cyclohexane ring in its molecules, their combined content in the polyester resin being within a range of 1.0-2.2 mols/kg (solid resin content); and that the curing agent is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of isocyanate group-containing compound, oxazoline group-containing compound, carbodiimide group-containing compound, hydrazide group-containing compound and semicarbazide group-containing compound. According to this method, multilayer coating film excelling in smoothness, distinctness of image, chipping resistance and water resistance can be formed by 3-coat-1-bake system.
