摘要: Systems and methods for neurofeedback-triggered therapy for neurological conditions in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a neurofeedback-triggered therapy system, including a plurality of vibrotactile stimulators, a brain activity recorder, and a controller, including a processor, and a memory, the memory containing a neurofeedback application, where in order to condition a user to reduce the symptoms of a neurological condition on demand triggered by upregulating sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) activity, the neurofeedback application directs the processor to obtain brain activity data from the brain activity recorder, identify sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) spindles in the brain activity data, and provide vibrotactile Coordinated Reset (vCR) stimulation to a user using the plurality of vibrotactile stimulators when SMR spindles are identified, where the vCR stimulation reduces the symptoms of a neurological condition of the user.

摘要: Embodiments herein describe systems and methods for scalable mapping of brain dynamics and uses thereof are provided. Many embodiments are capable of mapping brain dynamics in a computationally efficient way. In many embodiments, shape graphs can be produced which can operate as interactive network representations of dynamic brain activity data. Methods for automatically interpreting the structure of the shape graphs are described herein. In various embodiments, the mapped brain dynamics can be used to indicate which type of treatment protocol is likely to be most effective for the particular individual. In many embodiments, the treatment includes transcranial magnetic stimulation, pharmaceutical treatment, and/or any other mental condition treatment as appropriate to the requirements of specific applications of embodiments of the invention.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to, inter alia, a class of chimeric switch receptors containing an endodomain of an IL-9 receptor, engineered to modulate transcriptional regulation in a ligand-dependent manner. The disclosure also provides compositions and methods useful for producing such receptors, nucleic acids encoding same, host cells genetically modified with the nucleic acids, as well as methods for modulating gene expression, modulating an activity of a cell, and/or for the treatment of various health conditions or diseases.

摘要: An axially swept light sheet fluorescence microscope has illumination optics capable scanning the focus region of a line beam along an illumination optical axis to illuminate a light sheet in a sample plane, and detection optics capable of collecting fluorescence light from the sample plane and imaging the collected light on a light detector with a rolling shutter. A microcontroller synchronizes the rolling shutter with the scanning of the focus region. The illumination optics performs the axial scanning using a linear phased array of independently controllable electrostatically driven optical elements controlled by the microcontroller.

摘要: Compositions and methods are provided for genetically modifying cells to guide in situ chemical synthesis of electroactive, conductive, or insulating polymers on plasma membranes, organelle membranes, or subcellular surfaces of cells. In particular, compositions and methods are provided for genetically modifying excitable cells such as neurons, muscle cells, and endocrine cells to guide in situ chemical synthesis of polymers on the extracellular side of the plasma membrane. The subject methods can be used in various applications, for example, to assemble polymers in vivo at targeted locations to modulate electrical conduction and create new electrical conduction pathways, allow cell-type-specific neuromodulation, provide a conductive structure on cells for connection to electrodes, sensors, or other external electronic and electrochemical devices, and create a durable structure to replace damaged tissue for use in regenerative medicine.

摘要: Anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibody conjugated nanoparticles and methods of treating cancer, including without limitation hepatocellular carcinoma, are provided. The conjugates comprise antibodies, e.g. antibody F(ab) fragments, covalently linked to nanopartides. The antibody conjugated nanoparticles provide high tumor-specific delivery by extending circulation time of the antibodies by increasing their geometry and removing the Fc portion, and minimizing off-target distribution and toxicity. In some embodiments the antibody conjugated nanoparticlesprovide for increased therapeutic efficacy, e.g. in decreased tumor growth, relative to unconjugated antibody, or relative to unconjugated F(ab) fragments of an antibody.

摘要: Compositions and methods are provided relating to FOXP3 gene edited hematopoietic cells, include hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, lymphoid progenitor cells, and CD4+ T cells. The gene edited cells are useful in cellular therapy to restore normal immune functions and promote immune tolerance. In particular, CD4edFOXP3 T cells, which may be differentiated from FOXP3 gene edited hematopoietic progenitor cells, can physiologically express functional FOXP3 and exert normal immune responses as effector T cells or have immune suppressive characteristics as naturally occurring Treg cells.
