摘要： A simulation system including a control device, a master transmitter, a plurality of slave transmitters and a plurality of receivers. The master and slave transmitters are physically spaced apart and their transmission signals form a hyperbolic grid network. The receivers are positioned within the hyperbolic grid network and process the signals from the master and slave transmitters to simulate dose and dose rate from yield and fallout information of a simulated detonation that takes place in the hyperbolic grid network. The yield (Yi) information is processed by the receivers as a pulse train having a frequency that decreases exponentially with time. The X and Y rectangular coordinate information is converted into the polar coordinate system to eliminate the necessity of performing complex square or square root functions for detecting the actual distance R. To determine fallout the actual distance R is converted to an effective distance RE to take into account wind direction and velocity by employing an elliptical function where the eccentricity (e) is a function of wind velocity and the angle ( phi ) of the major axis is a function of wind direction.

摘要： A pulsed solid state laser system is disclosed which utilizes a plurality of individual laser rods which are sequentially pumped and whose beans are combined into a single interleaved output bean. The individual laser rods are pumped at an average power level which is below that for maximum output power from each rod, thereby obviating the need for refrigeration cooling. A compact optical system is disclosed which permits a constant beam size even at different pump levels and other advantages. A compact cooling system is also disclosed.

摘要： In a preferred embodiment, a device for indicating rotation of the head of a golfer during the process of hitting a golfball, which includes: a housing; a sensor including a pendulum switch disposed in the housing to sense the beginning of rotation of the head from an initial position, generally about the axis of the spine of the golfer, and to produce an output signal thereupon; a sound producing device activatable in response to the output signal to provide an audible signal to the golfer; an adjustment device to adjust the sensor so that the sensor will not produce the output signal when the head is in a desired position, but will produce the output signal when the head begins to rotate in the direction the golfball will be hit; and a manually initiated timing device to which the sensor is responsive to permit the sensor to produce the output signal only during a selected period of time after manual initiation of the timing device.
