摘要: The present disclosure provides a method for aligning a master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) system. The method includes ramping up a pumping power input into a laser amplifier chain of the MOPA system until the pumping power input reaches an operational pumping power input level; adjusting a seed laser power output of a seed laser of the MOPA system until the seed laser power output is at a first level below an operational seed laser power output level; and performing a first optical alignment process to the MOPA system while the pumping power input is at the operational pumping power input level, the seed laser power output is at the first level, and the MOPA system reaches a steady operational thermal state.

摘要: The invention relates to the field of laser technology, and methods and devices intended for homogenizing the temperature of a laser base plate, where optical component holders are attached to the laser base plate comprising a heat transfer medium. In order to reduce susceptibility of the laser base plate to local temperature differences, ensuring stable positions of the optical components and, consequently, the orientation of the optical paths, the material from which the laser base plate and optical component holders are made is stainless steel. Heat pipes are built into the laser base plate and have a significantly higher thermal conductivity than stainless steel, and their coefficient of thermal expansion is close to the coefficient of thermal expansion of stainless steel. The holders of the optical components are attached and adjusted with respect to each other to said laser base plate by laser spot welding.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for producing ultrashort optical pulses are described. A high-power, solid-state, passively mode-locked laser can be manufactured in a compact module that can be incorporated into a portable instrument. The mode-locked laser can produce sub-50-ps optical pulses at a repetition rates between 200 MHz and 50 MHz, rates suitable for massively parallel data-acquisition. The optical pulses can be used to generate a reference clock signal for synchronizing data-acquisition and signal-processing electronics of the portable instrument.

摘要: A positive high-voltage laser having a super-long discharge tube, including a gas storage tube having two ends respectively provided with a reflecting mirror and a light emitting surface; a water cooling tube in the gas storage tube; and a discharge tube inside the water cooling tube having two ends, each provided with an electrode. A liquid circulation space is between the discharge tube and the water cooling tube, and the water cooling tube extends outside the gas storage tube by water inlet and outlet tubes. A cathode is in a cathode chamber at the end of the discharge tube closest to the light emitting surface; a spiral gas return tube communicates with the cathode chamber; an anode circumscribes the outside of the water cooling tube at the other end of the discharge tube. The positive high-voltage laser can increase power with a limited length.

摘要: A system includes: a heat sink module with a plurality of first through-holes linking its top and bottom surfaces and a plurality of grooves on the bottom surface, wherein each groove passes through a respective sequence of the first through-holes; and a driving circuit module with a plurality of conductive connectors and electrical driving surfaces that are disposed substantially perpendicular to the top and bottom surfaces of the heat sink module, wherein each conductive connector lies partially within a respective groove in the bottom surface of the heat sink module, the conductive connectors include internal connectors that each links at least two of the first through-holes in a respective sequence of first through-holes, and external connectors that each links at least one of the first through-holes in a respective sequence of first through-holes to an electrical driving surfaces of the driving circuit module.

The laser oscillator includes: a laser beam generating unit; a heat exchanger; a coolant bypass circuit; a coolant circuit connecting these components; a housing storing these components; a coolant circulating unit that circulates a coolant to the laser beam generating unit, the heat exchanger, and the coolant bypass circuit with the aid of the coolant circuit; a first valve that adjusts a flow rate of the coolant supplied to the laser beam generating unit; a second valve that adjusts a flow rate of the coolant supplied to the heat exchanger; a third valve that adjusts the flow rate of the coolant supplied to the coolant bypass circuit; a dew point measuring unit that measures a dew point inside the housing; a temperature measuring unit that measures a coolant temperature; and a control unit that controls the first, second, and third valves on the basis of the dew point and the coolant temperature.

摘要: Provided is a solid-state laser device in which a linear resonator including an output mirror and a rear mirror, a laser rod, and optical members are provided on a common base and are contained in a housing having the base as a portion. A holding part is provided to hold an excitation light source that extends parallel to the laser rod on a side of the laser rod opposite to the base. The optical members including a Q-switch are disposed between the laser rod and the rear mirror. An upper end position of the output mirror is at a position lower than a lower end position of the excitation light source held by the holding part, with the base as a reference. The holding part holds the excitation light source so as to be capable of being inserted and extracted with respect to the output mirror side in a longitudinal direction of the excitation light source.
