Systems and methods for generating and responding to billing requests in a wireless subscriber billing system are disclosed. A billing request can be generated at a trusted service. The billing request including billing information is communicated to a wireless subscriber billing system. A validation response to the billing request is generated in the wireless subscriber billing system and the validation response is communicated to the trusted service.

Systems and methods for automated account mapping in a wireless subscriber billing system are disclosed. An external ID associated with a wireless client device is captured from a billable event communicated between a wireless client device and a wireless subscriber billing system. Then, the external ID is associated with a Subscriber ID (SID) used to communicate a billing request to an operator billing system.

A job completion architecture, includes content that is specified as a hierarchical tree of related content units and a set of multilevel tickets associated with instances of the hierarchically arranged content units. The job manager applies the multilevel tickets, specifying property settings at potentially multiple levels within the hierarchical tree, according to a qualified inheritance rule wherein settings applicable to a set of lower level properties that are specified within a first (higher level) ticket are incorporated into the merged settings to the extent a second (lower level) ticket does not specify settings for the set of lower level properties. If a same property is specified in both a higher and lower level ticket, during merging a setting specified in the lower level ticket overrides the higher level ticket setting.

A system and method for managing the deleting and reloading of software application components on a wireless device, such as a cellular telephone, personal digital assistant, pager, or other computer platform. The wireless device has one or more resident executable software applications wherein each application has one or more application components and application-associated data, such as software licenses and user-specific data. The wireless device selectively deletes one or more application components of the resident software applications without loss of the application-associated data to clear resources on the wireless device, and selectively prompts an application download server across a wireless network to transmit deleted application components needed to be reinstalled on the wireless device to execute the application.

A method is provided for operating a server to allow a first terminal to provide a content gift to a second terminal, where the first and second terminals selectively communicate with the server. The method includes receiving a catalog request from the first terminal for a catalog that identifies content compatible with the second terminal. The method also includes generating the catalog and transmitting the catalog to the first terminal. The method also includes receiving a gift request from the first terminal requesting that a content gift selected from the identified content in the catalog be provided to the second terminal, and providing the content gift to the second terminal.

A disk drive is disclosed comprising a voice coil motor (VCM) for rotating an actuator arm about a pivot in order to actuate a head over a disk. The disk is rotated by a spindle motor, and a feed-forward compensation value is computed that compensate for a non-centric alignment of the disk with respect to the spindle motor. During a calibration mode, the VCM is controlled to press the actuator arm against a crash stop, and the feed-forward compensation value is computed in response to a position error signal (PES). The PES is generated in response to embedded servo sectors recorded on the disk, wherein each embedded servo sector comprises a track address for coarse alignment and servo bursts for fine alignment.

A disk drive and method for estimating a sinusoidal error in a wedge time period is disclosed. An estimated WTP is calculated according to: EST_WTP=RTP+â*cos(2πk/N)+{circumflex over (b)}*sin(2πk/N) wherein RTP is a reference time period corresponding to a nominal WTP, k is an index representing a servo wedge, and {â,{circumflex over (b)}} are adjustable coefficients. A wedge time error e(k) is estimated as the difference between the estimated WTP and a detected actual WTP. The coefficients {â,{circumflex over (b)}} for generating the estimated WTP are adjusted according to: â(k+1)=â(k)−G*e(k)*cos(2πk/N) {circumflex over (b)}(k+1)={circumflex over (b)}(k)−G*e(k)*sin(2πk/N) wherein G is a predetermined gain.

The present invention is a system and method for providing distributed seamless, fault tolerant and reliable solutions for imaging devices through creating virtual imaging servers and virtual connections to network imaging devices. This invention provides imaging job routing, job balancing, continuous service availability, simplified imaging device administration and the transparency of imaging device locations and name on a network by employing a hierarchical schema which defines and describes imaging devices, servers and imaging jobs.

Provided is a compiler to map application program code to object code capable of being executed on an operating system platform. A first neural network module is trained to generate characteristic output based on input information describing attributes of the application program. A second neural network module is trained to receive as input the application program code and the characteristic output and, in response, generate object code. The first and second neural network modules are used to convert the application program code to object code.
