Abstract:
Devices and methods of real-time mapping of a user's body. The devices and methods involve a user wearing one or more wearable article(s) of a frame such that sensing devices of the wearable article(s) are located on one or more section(s) of the user's body. Signals are transmitted with the sensing devices and received with at least one control unit. Movement of the section(s) of the user's body are determined based on the signal, and motion data are provided to a virtual environment based on the movement of the section(s) of the user's body.
Abstract:
Stereotactic systems and implantation methods that can be designed for use with a specific species and further customized for use with an individual within the species are provided. The stereotactic system can include an implant jig that can model a tissue or organ in which a target tissue area is located. A neurocap can be coupled to the implant jig for pre-planning and pre-placement of implants. A stencil can be used to determine the location for placement of the neurocap on the individual, so that the implants can be precisely targeted at the desired location. Pre-surgical information and data can be obtained from an individual and used to customize components of a stereotactic system, which can improve accuracy of implant placement.
Abstract:
When the sight impaired become mobile, they often bump their heads on unseen objects and/or hazards that could result in injury. The object detection device uses signal emitting proximity sensors that alert the user to unseen objects. The object detection device notifies the user of detected objects. Stimulators, such as actuators, produce a detected feedback to contact the user to warn the user that an object has been detected and the distance between the object and the user. Each actuator contacts the user at a specific contact point. The actuator contacting the user at a specific contact point informs the user of the distance between the user and the detected object.
Abstract:
A system and method for searching content and user interface for presenting results of the search are provided, wherein visual elements representing the content are distributed in three dimensions on a display, with the various axes representing criteria that relate to a central starting point of the search and the proximity to the central point indicating the degree of relevance. The outer bounds of the display contain a large amount of varied material of various types to allow a user to select content of a different type, with the content at the periphery of the display being essentially random and representing little or no link to the starting point of the search. Any displayed element may be selected, as a source for a next level search, in which case content relationships will be re-drawn, with the selected content used as the center point for a next level search.
Abstract:
A method that builds a chain-of-custody for archived data is disclosed to ensure the integrity and reliability of the archived data. In one implementation, by using a certified Time Stamp Authority (TSA), an indelible record of each time the archived data is touched (e.g. created, stored, retrieved, accessed, tested, moved, or transformed) is generated to build verifiable links between events to ensure the custody of the data can be audited and verified that it has remained intact throughout its lifetime. The chain-of-custody, in combination with the storage architecture that ensures archive data has not changed through various software and hardware means (e.g., multiple hash signatures to ensure integrity, timestamp authorities to pinpoint each time the archived data was touched, location information to pinpoint physical location, and coordinated chain of custody on multiple replicas of the digital artifact) validates that the archived data has not changed since it was archived.
Abstract:
The air tool hook is comprised of a pair of connection fittings for compressed fluids with a first connection on one end of the fitting for connecting a compressed air line and a second connection on the other end of the fitting for attaching a pneumatic tool to the compressed air line, a manifold, wherein one end of the manifold is attached to a side of the fitting and a hole is bored through the other end of the manifold, a hook with one end shaped for hanging the hook and the other end, a straight shaft, sized and shaped to be placed through the hole of the manifold, grooves cut into the shaft, retaining clips attaching the shaft to the manifold, whereby the clips are placed into the grooves of the shaft on either side of the hole, the first and second connections are rotatable, and the hook and shaft are rotatable with respect to the manifold, whereby the air line, the pneumatic tool and the hook are able to rotate independently.
Abstract:
System and method for controlling wing tool bars of an agricultural implement are provided. One implement includes a tool bar assembly having a central tool bar and a first wing tool bar rotatably coupled to an end of the central tool bar. The implement also includes a first actuator coupled to the first wing tool bar and to the central tool bar, and configured to raise and lower the first wing tool bar. The implement includes a solenoid controlled valve having a first position configured to enable fluid flow to the first actuator, and a second position configured to block fluid flow to the first actuator. The implement also includes a switch electrically coupled to the valve and configured to transition the valve between the first and second positions based on an angle of the first wing tool bar relative to the central tool bar.
