    摘要: A strap assembly providing a means to secure large and varying sized articles to the back underside seat rails of a bicycle seat without adding weight or bulk to the bicycle. An attaching loop properly positions the strap assembly to the seat rail, aids in cinching the strap assembly tight and keeps the strap assembly attached to the seat rail when not in use. The attaching loop never permanently tightens so the strap assembly is always easily removed. The strap assembly is small and light enough to fit in a rider's jersey pocket or under-seat tool bag when not in use. The strap assembly negates the need for bicycle equipment bags. The strap assembly can also secure articles to backpacks, garment belts, car-top racks, kayak grab rails, tool boxes, bags and luggage.

    摘要: A low frequency (1-3 Mbps) telecommunication network cross-connect panel 10 is described for cross-connecting eighty-four fiber multiplex circuit elements 12 and eighty-four digital loop carrier circuits 14. The panel 10 has a housing 16 for supporting twenty-one modules 30 in which each module 30 has an upper patch access section 34 and a lower cross-connection field section 36. The upper section 34 includes two sets of front access wire-wrap pins 50 and 56 for providing front patch access capability utilizing a female patch plug 130. The lower cross-connection section 36 includes two sets of cross-connect pins 62 and 68 providing eighty-four columns of eight pins each defining a cross-connect field. Each module 30 includes a printed circuit board 40 for physically electrically interconnecting the pins through electrical circuits 100, 102, 104, and 106 as illustrated in FIG. 5. The printed circuit board includes an electrical switch means 108 that is a make-before-break arrangement in which front access contact is made prior to interrupting the circuit 100, 102, 104 and 106.

    摘要: A low frequency telecommunication digital network interface patch panel 10 is described having the capability of terminating and providing front access to one-hundred-sixty-eight low frequency network elements 12 and 14 that generate low frequency signals between 1 and 3 Mbps. The panel has a housing with twenty-one adjacent modules; each module being one inch in width and having an upper set of wire-wrap pins 38 and a lower set of wire-wrap pins 40 that are spaced at one-quarter inch on center from each other. The pins 38, 40 are arranged in upper columns and lower columns that are vertically aligned with each other. The pins 38, 40 extend forward from a printed circuit board 60 through front module members 62 to ends 54 and rearward through rear module member 64 to wire-wrap terminal ends 56. The ends 56 are adapted for permanent termination with twisted wire pairs of the network elements. The forward front ends 64 are adapted to receive a female access plug 120 having four wire-wrap pin cavities 126. The printed circuit board 60 has a switch means 78 for operatively interconnecting a column 40 with a corresponding lower set of four pins 44. The female patch plug 120 includes a projecting switch actuating member 134 that serves to interrupt the normally closed condition of the switch means 78 when the female patch plug 120 is inserted over a selected column of pins 40, 44.

    摘要: A telecommunication fiber optic distribution apparatus 10 is illustrated in the drawings and includes a plurality of vertically spaced tray housings or shelves 18 that are mounted between vertical frame columns 16. Each of the tray housings slidably supports a plurality of optical fiber trays 20 that are movable linearly outward from a storage retracted position within the housing to an extended service position. Each of the trays has one or more cable carriers 60 that support and protect the optical fibers from being bent in an arc having a radius of curvature less than a predetermined value. Each of the trays 20 includes reels for storing extra lengths of the optical fibers. Releasable guides 46 are mounted along the outside of the housing for guiding fiber optic cable in a vertical direction to the desired shelves. Additionally, individual cable guides 44 are positioned adjacent the rear corners of the housing for additionally guiding the individual cables into and out of the carriers 60.

    摘要: A device for connecting standard plastic covered fiber optic cable and armored fiber optic cable to a housing for electrical or electronic equipment. The device consist of a portion of the housing having a passage between an exterior surface of the housing and a interior surface of the housing. At the interior end of the passage is an aperture sized to receive a standard plastic covered fiber optic cable. The passage is tapered such that the interior end has a smaller diameter than the exterior end and the passage is threaded. A bushing is received in the passage. The bushing has a passage through its center through which the fiber optic cable passes. One end of the bushing is threaded and has an aperture in the center thereof sized for receiving a standard plastic covered fiber optic cable. The threaded end of the bushing also includes a longitudinal slot. As the bushing is screwed into the housing passage the slot compresses causing the aperture at the end of the threaded portion of the bushing to clamp around the fiber optic cable. The clamping action physically connects the fiber optic cable to the electrical equipment housing.

    摘要: A heat insulated coffee carafe for placement at the brewed coffee outlet of a coffee maker is provided with a securely fitting lid through which the coffee passes directly into the carafe without removal of the lid. When the carafe and its lid are placed in the coffee maker, mutual pressure between the lid and the coffee maker causes seals in the lid to open and permits the coffee to enter the carafe without removing the lid and with a minimal loss of heat and coffee aroma. Removal of the carafe and lid from the coffee maker automatically closes the seals to retain the heat and aroma in the carafe for long periods of use. In another embodiment a positive drip-stop seal in the coffee maker is closed automatically when the carafe is removed, whereby dripping from the coffee maker is prevented. In a further embodiment, a drip-stop seal in the coffee maker and a seal in the lid are both opened when the carafe is installed in the coffee maker. The flow capacity of the drip-stop seal is less than that of the seal in the lid, whereby flow control of the coffee is provided. Special provisions permit an unblocked exhaust flow of air while liquid is being admitted to the carafe.
