摘要: Examples disclosed herein relate to providing a location-based holographic experience. One example provides a head-mounted display device comprising a see-through display, one or more position sensors, a logic subsystem, and a storage subsystem comprising instructions executable by the logic subsystem to obtain data representing a plurality of holographic objects, acquire sensor data via the one or more position sensors to monitor a position of the head-mounted display device along a path of a holographic experience, detect that the position of the head-mounted display device meets a first position-based condition regarding a first holographic object, and display the first holographic object at a corresponding location for the first holographic object.

摘要: Examples are disclosed herein that relate to identifying and localizing devices in an environment via an augmented reality display device. One example provides, on a portable augmented reality computing device, a method including establishing a coordinate frame for an environment, and discovering, via a location-sensitive input device, a location of a physical manifestation of the device in the environment, assigning a device location for the device in the coordinate frame based upon the location of the physical manifestation, and modifying an output of the portable augmented reality computing device based upon a change in relative position between the portable augmented reality computing device and the physical manifestation in environment.

摘要: A computing system and method for producing and consuming metadata within multi-dimensional data is provided. The computing system comprising a see-through display, a sensor system, and a processor configured to: in a recording phase, generate an annotation at a location in a three dimensional environment, receive, via the sensor system, a stream of telemetry data recording movement of a first user in the three dimensional environment, receive a message to be recorded from the first user, and store, in memory as annotation data for the annotation, the stream of telemetry data and the message, and in a playback phase, display a visual indicator of the annotation at the location, receive a selection of the visual indicator by a second user, display a simulacrum superimposed onto the three dimensional environment and animated according to the telemetry data, and present the message via the animated simulacrum.
