Abstract:
The maximum number of scaled images formed for one document and the scaling ratio set for each of scaled images are accepted by an operation panel, the basic scaling ratio is read from a table defining the scaled image arrangement information and the like, the scaling ratio of the original image data obtained by an image reading section is changed, and scaled images laid out on one sheet are generated. The generated plurality of scaled images are arranged according to the arrangement information defined by the table, and image formation is performed by an image forming section, thereby obtaining a multi-shot copy in which a plurality of images of different scaling ratio are laid out on one sheet.

Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes display panels included in each of an operation unit 130 and a display unit 136, and a control unit causing the two display panels to successively make transitions to a power save mode if a prescribed time period has passed without any operation to the operation unit 130. If priority is given to the operation, the control unit first causes the display panel of display unit 136 to make a transition to the power save mode, and thereafter causes the display panel of the operation unit 130 to the power save mode. If the priority is given to the display, the control unit causes the display panel of operation unit 130 to make a transition to the power save mode, and thereafter causes the display panel of display unit 136 to make a transition to the power save mode. Thus, wasteful power consumption by the two display panels can be reduced.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an operation panel 13 that makes it easier to select setting buttons 20c and 20e desired by a user and to perform setting of various kinds of processings, and an electric device including the same. The operation panel 13 provided in an image processing apparatus 1 includes an operation section 13a for inputting an operation instruction, a display section 13b for displaying an operation screen, a control section 13c for causing the display section 13b to display a different operation screen every time setting buttons 20c and 20e in the operation screen are operated, and a storage section 13d for storing the selected setting button 20c. The control section 13c counts the number of use times of each setting button 20c to store in the storage section 13d. When a setting screen is displayed, the control section 13c detects the number of use times of each of the setting buttons 20c to change a display state on the display section 13b depending on the number of use times. With the structure above, even when many setting buttons 20c and 20e are displayed on the setting screen for various kinds of processings, the desired setting button 20c can be selected easily.
