摘要: A display device comprises a fluorescent screen provided with a shading portion including a plurality of openings, and a fluorescent layer formed on the shading portion, and a metal-back layer provided on the fluorescent screen and including a plurality of dividing means and a plurality of divisions defined by the dividing means, wherein the dividing means are provided on the shading portion via the fluorescent layer interposed therebetween, and an electrical resistance between each pair of adjacent ones of the divisions located with a corresponding dividing means interposed between the each pair falls within a range of 102Ω to 105Ω via the fluorescent layer.

摘要: An image display unit having a back-side substrate on which a number of electron emission elements are arranged, and a front-side substrate which is opposed to a back-side substrate and has fluorescent patterns and light-shielding patterns arranged at positions corresponding to electron emission elements, wherein a marking area is provided at least two locations in an ineffective part of the inside of the front-side substrate, corresponding to alignment marks of a dry plate, and each marking area has three alignment marks. According to the present invention, it is unnecessary to change R, G, B masks whenever three color fluorescent patterns are exposed, and realignment between a mask and a substrate is unnecessary.

摘要: This image display device includes a rear plate having a large number of electron emission elements and a face plate placed opposite to the rear plate and having a pattern of a phosphor layer and a pattern of a light absorption layer (a black matrix), on an inner surface of a light transmissive panel. Each pattern portion of the phosphor layer has a polygonal shape obtained by cutting corners from a quadrangle concentric with the light emitting portion which receives electron beams emitted from electron emission elements to emit light. Further,the area of each pattern portion of the phosphor layer can be 1.5 to 4 times the area of the light emitting portion The image display device is capable of display of high quality with high contrast and without decrease in brightness.
