Abstract: An electrically actuated free wheel hub apparatus includes an axle tube, a wheel hub arranged about the axle tube and operated in response to the position of a drive transfer mechanism. An electric motor is disposed in a body fixed to the wheel hub and an axle shaft is interior to the axle tube.
