摘要: The evacuation and inert gas introduction apparatus capable of quickly switching over between the evacuation state and the inert gas introduction state, is provided for a synthesizing device for molecular asymmetrical catalysts. The evacuation line is connected to a vacuum pump via a cock and solvent trap. The inert gas introduction line is connected to an argon gas cylinder via a cock. The vacuum cavity is provided at a tip end of the housing of the three-way cock, and thus the inside plug is attracted towards the vacuum cavity. The evacuation line is connected to the first port of the three-way cock, the inert gas introduction line is connected to the second port and the each reaction chamber of the synthesizing apparatus is connected to the third port. As the rotation angle of the inside plug is changed, the connection state of the line is switched.

摘要: A torque converter defines an ellipticity lower than or equal to 0.23 which is an outermost length of the torque converter in an axial direction, divided by an outermost diameter of the torque converter in a radial direction. The torque converter includes: a pump impeller connecting to an input shaft; a turbine runner opposed to the pump impeller and connecting to an output shaft; and a stator disposed between an inlet of the pump impeller and an outlet of the turbine runner, by way of a one way clutch which allows a one way rotation. The torque converter transmits a power by circulating a fluid through the pump impeller, the turbine runner and the stator. A first area ratio A is: 0.23≦A≦0.45, A second area ratio B is: 0.23≦B≦0.45, and A third area ratio C is: 0.15≦C

摘要: In a torque converter comprised of three major rotating elements, namely a pump impeller formed integral with a converter cover, a turbine runner to which a driving power is transmitted through a working fluid from the pump impeller, and a stator disposed between the pump impeller and the turbine runner, the stator is supported on a transmission case via a one-way clutch and has a plurality of stator blades. In order to balance the enhanced vehicle's startability and improved fuel economy at idle, the ratio W/D of a stator-blade axial length W to a torque-converter nominal diameter D is set to satisfy a predetermined inequality 0.030≦W/D≦0.052.

摘要: The object of the invention is to provide a solvent distillation apparatus capable of preparing a highly pure anoxic, dehydrated solvent. A distilling flask is connected to a vacuum double-barrel fractionating column by a glass flange. The upper end of the fractionating column is connected to a middle portion of a reflux condenser. The upper end of the reflux condenser is provided with an outlet for a purge gas, and the lower end thereof is connected to a condensate reservoir. The base of the condensate reservoir is connected to the fractionating column near a lower end thereof via a Young cock, and also connected to a collecting flask via a Young cock and a glass flange. An immersion tube is used to blow an inactive gas into a base portion of the condensate reservoir. The fractionating column, the reflux condenser and the condensate reservoir are integrated as one body.

摘要: Production apparatus for vapor-grown fine fibers, comprising a vertical furnace and a horizontal furnace intersecting each other in an L-shaped configuration. Raw material and catalyst and carrier gas are injected into the top of the vertical furnace to form fine fibers that fall freely through the vertical furnace and land and rest on a conveyor in the horizontal furnace for conveying the fibers through the second furnace while the fibers grow in size. Gas and fibers are discharged from an end of the horizontal furnace remote from the vertical furnace. The horizontal furnace has second injecting structure injecting material for fiber growth but no catalyst into said horizontal furnace.

摘要: Filter membranes for efficiently eliminating pathogens such as viruses from solutions of drugs or physiologically active substances employed as starting materials thereof which are contaminated with pathogens such as viruses. These filter membranes, which can simultaneously achieve favorable performance of eliminating small viruses and a high physiologically active substance-permeability, can be obtained by controlling the membrane characteristics to give a ratio (BP/&ggr;) of the bubble point BP (MPa) to the surface tension &ggr; (N/m) of 110 or above, and/or logarithmic elimination ratios of swine parvovirus at 0 to 5 l/m2 filtration volume and at 50 to 55 l/m2, and regulating the permeability for bovine immunoglubulin, wherein the monomer content amounts to at least 80%, to 70% or more. These filter membranes make it possible to provide drugs or starting materials therefor with little fear of the contamination with viruses, etc. and, therefore, are useful in the fields of pharmacy, medicine and the like.
