摘要: A sterilization device includes a shell, an air guide passage, a sterilization module and a blowing device. An opening is formed in a side of the shell to face a handrail of an escalator. The air guide passage disposed in the shell includes an air inlet communicated with an ambient space outside the shell, and an air outlet facing and communicating with the opening. The sterilization module includes a plasma generator disposed in the air guide passage and capable of ionizing air and generating high-energy particles. The blowing device is configured to force air outside the shell into the air guide passage and blow the ionized air and the high-energy particles to the handrail. The sterilization device can accurately sterilize the handrail and realize sterilization based on air ionization, so the cost is low, and a pungent odor is avoided, which brings good experience to passengers riding the escalator.

摘要: An isolation chamber and disinfection system. The novel system includes an enclosure for providing a sturdy, lightless and soundproofed environment and for containing a solution for supporting a user in a state of floatation; a disinfection system for disinfecting the solution, the disinfection system including an ultraviolet disinfection system and an ozone injection system; and a pump for removing the solution from the enclosure and circulating it through the disinfection system at a predetermined flow rate. The enclosure is formed from interlocking, foam-insulated panels and lined with a potable liner that holds the solution. In relationship to the isolation chamber, in accordance with the present teachings, an improved method of disinfection is taught using UV radiation with ozone injection. Ozone has a short half-life and leaves substantially no toxic byproducts. Verification of disinfection can be accomplished by monitoring the dissolved ozone, which can be determined accurately utilizing a dissolved ozone sensor system.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for using lectins that bind to pathogens having high mannose surface glycoproteins or fragments thereof which contain high mannose glycoproteins, to remove them from infected blood or plasma in an extracorporeal setting. Accordingly, the present invention provides a method for reducing viral load in an individual comprising the steps of obtaining blood or plasma from the individual, passing the blood or plasma through a porous hollow fiber membrane wherein lectin molecules are immobilized within the porous exterior portion of the membrane, collecting pass-through blood or plasma and reinfusing the pass-through blood or plasma into the individual.

摘要: Sterilized aqueous solution comprising 0.04% to 0.8% by weight hyaluronic acid with a weight average molecular weight from 0.6 MDa to 3.6 MDa, and one or more buffer components selected from the group consisting of boric acid, sodium borate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate. The aqueous solution also has an ionic strength equivalent to an aqueous concentration of sodium chloride from 4% to 18% by weight of sodium chloride and a pH from 6.4 to 7.2. The solution is also filtered through a filter medium that has an average pore size of 0.25 μm or less to provide a sterilized high salt, hyaluronic acid solution.

摘要: The present invention overcomes the difficulties in the sterilization and delivery of viscous, multi-component compositions that require pre-mixing prior to usage by disclosing a sterile, multi-component, ready-to-use product wherein each component is sterilized independently and then assembled into a sterilized delivery kit. In certain preferred embodiments of the present invention, a sterile, polymerizable system is provided that comprises a plurality of sterile polymerizable monomers, said monomers having been sterilized by passing them through a filter; at least one sterile filler which has been exposed to conditions effective to render said filler sterile, and the sterile monomers and the sterile filler being blended together to form at least one substantially homogeneous blend contained within a sterile delivery vessel. Still other embodiments include a single-use kit that comprises a delivery gun, mix tips, and cartridges that comprise one or more pastes of the present invention that are housed within one or more pouches to ensure sterility of the internal contents.

摘要: Systems and methods treat plasma carrying contaminants and cellular matter that are capable of entraining contaminants. The systems and methods separate cellular matter from the plasma by filtration, thereby removing contaminants entrained within the cellular matter. The system and methods add to the plasma a photoactive material. The systems and methods emit radiation at a selected wavelength into the plasma to activate the photoactive material and thereby eradicate the contaminant that is free of entrainment by cellular matter.
