摘要: A fixing device fixes a toner image on a recording medium. The fixing device includes a heat source that converts electric power into heat and a fixing member that gives the heat generated by the heat source to the recording medium on which the toner image is formed. The fixing device includes a safety circuit that forcibly interrupts voltage supplied from a power supply to the heat source if the temperature in the device detected by a temperature detection sensor exceeds reference temperature. The fixing device has a malfunction preventing circuit that stops the operation of the safety circuit in order to prevent the voltage supplied to the heat source from being forcibly interrupted when the voltage of the power supply supplied to the heat source is unstable.

摘要: When the sub-scanning beam position does not fall within a target range by the last directive value, the drift direction of a galvanomirror is estimated on the basis of the last directive value. A directive value is provided to the galvanomirror and then changed so that the sub-scanning beam position is shifted in the estimated direction in steps from the position corresponding to the last directive value. A decision is then made as to whether the directive value in the galvanomirror has reached a predetermined value. When the predetermined value is reached, the galvanomirror is directed to shift the beam position in the direction opposite to the estimated direction in steps from the position corresponding to the last directive value. As a result, a great load is prevented from being imposed on the galvanomirror during the laser beam sub-scanning direction position control.

摘要: A process for excavating and constructing a tunnel, and an excavating device are disclosed. This process is directed to excavating and constructing a tunnel under a railway or a road on a bank or on level land in the direction transverse to the railway or road. In this process, pits are dug on the opposite sides of the railway, and then an excavator digs into the wall of a pit on one side so as to go out of the wall of the other pit through the ground left therebetween. In this respect, a hollow casing unit of a box shape is coupled to the rear end of the excavator equipped with a screw conveyor. As the excavator advances or digs forward a given distance, another casing unit is in turn coupled to the rear end of the preceding casing unit, and then such a step is repeated, until the excavator goes out of the wall of another pit. In this manner, the excavator further digs into the wall of one pit in the position adjacent to the preceding run of casing units. Then, these runs of casing units are placed around the imaginary contour of a tunnel, thereby forming the outer wall of the tunnel. The sand and soil inside the outer wall of the tunnel are excavated and removed, after which reinforcing steel bars and a mold are placed along the inner surface of the wall of the tunnel. Concrete is then poured into the hollow casing units themselves as well as between the mold and the wall. Thus, the hollow casing units form an integral part of the wall of a tunnel, as an outer wall.

摘要: The disclosed image capture device is provided with: an image capture unit which implements image capture; a detection unit which detects start-up related operations relating to the start-up of image capture functions; and a control unit which controls the image capture unit. When the detection unit detects start-up related operations, the control unit sends a first start-up instruction to the image capture unit, and then, within a specified timing, implements at least part of an end processing for functions being started-up which are not image capture functions. Upon receiving the first activation instruction, the image capture unit implements a first start-up processing which is one part of a start-up processing for the image capture unit, and thus a speculative state is entered.

In the metal-based carbon fiber composite material, a surface region thereof may comprise a smaller amount of the micron carbon fiber than that in another region, or comprise no micron carbon fiber; and the nanofiber may have an orientation parallel to the surface of the composite material. The present invention provides a method for producing these composite materials.
