In one embodiment, the invention is a shaving apparatus including: an elongated handle having a longitudinal axis; a power source; a head coupled to a distal end of the elongated handle, the head having a working surface with a longitudinal width of 40-44 mm and a transverse width of 14-16 mm; the working surface comprising a fixed blade having a cutting edge; a rotary cutter having cutting edges disposed within the head, the cutting edges of the rotary cutter positioned adjacent the cutting edge of the fixed blade so that a user's hairs are sheared between the cutting edge of the fixed blade and the cutting edges of the rotary cutter when the rotary cutter is rotating; and a motor operably coupled to the rotary cutter to rotate the rotary cutter about an axis.

摘要： A method for improving nighttime visual awareness of a pilot flying an aircraft carrying an air-to-air missile including one or more one gimbaled imaging sensor. The method includes providing a helmet for the pilot, a helmet tracking system for determining the attitude of the helmet relative to the aircraft, and a helmet-mounted display. The method also includes determining a current imaging sensor viewing direction of the imaging sensor of the air-to-air missile, sampling an image from the imaging sensor of the air-to-air missile and displaying the image on the helmet-mounted display. The determining and the displaying are performed so that the image displayed on the helmet-mounted display viewed by the pilot is spatially aligned with the scene viewed by the imaging sensor.

摘要： A method for providing on-demand audio information to a pilot of a first aircraft during aerial combat engagement with a hostile aircraft. The method includes receiving a pilot-initiated request for information, identifying the pilot-initiated request as either a first request-type or a second request-type. If the pilot-initiated request is identified as the first request-type, retrieving output information relating to current flight parameters of the first aircraft; if the pilot-initiated request is identified as the second request-type, retrieving output information relating to current flight parameters of the hostile aircraft; and generating a verbal message audible to the pilot containing the output information.
