摘要： The discharge valve apparatus of the present invention has control cylinder members for controlling the flow of rinse water flowing out from a reservoir tank discharge port, on which opening portions are formed, and flow-adjusting members, attached to these control cylinder members and capable of adjusting the opening surface area of opening portions in the control cylinder member; whereby female engaging portions in the control cylinder member are arrayed approximately vertically, and are furnished with registration indentations for registering the attachment positions of adjusting members relative to control cylinder members, and the intervals within the registration indentations are set to be smaller than the width of an installer's finger to prevent release of engagement by an installer when the adjusting member male engaging portions are in a state of engagement with the female engaging portions of the control cylinder members.

摘要： Disclosed is a vacuum breaker having further enhanced reliability. The vacuum breaker comprises: a main body having a water inlet (26, 41), a water outlet (34, 48), a water passage (30, 44) for fluidically connecting the water inlet and the water outlet, and a first ambient-air intake port (36, 50) and a second ambient-air intake port (37, 49) for allowing the water passage to fluidically communicate with ambient air therethrough; a first valve element (28, 42); and a second valve element (32, 46) disposed downstream of the first valve element. The first valve element is designed to be movable between a first position allowing the water inlet to fluidically communicate with a zone of the water passage between the first and second valve elements, when water is permitted to pass through the water passage, and a second position allowing the first ambient-air intake port to fluidically communicate with the zone of the water passage between the first and second valve elements, when water is inhibited from passing through the water passage. The second valve element is designed to be movable between a first position allowing the zone of the water passage between the first and second valve elements to fluidically communicate with the water outlet, when water is permitted to pass through the water passage, and a second position allowing the second ambient-air intake port to fluidically communicate with the water outlet, when water is inhibited from passing through the water passage.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a cellulose based fiber of high water-retentivity. The cellulose based fiber of high water rententivity is manufactured by mixing together a stock solution as a homogeneous mixture of a non-cellulose based material of high absorbency and a cellulose based material and a stock solution singly composed of cellulose based material by means of a nozzle. Then the mixture is formed into a complex fiber as a sheath-core type by spinning, elongation and refining the mixture.

摘要： To prevent body fluids from flowing backward through a liquid-permeable topsheet for use in body fluids absorptive goods, the topsheet is formed by a nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic synthetic fibers appropriately fused together and the topsheet is provided with openings and a skin-contacting region continuously extending around the openings. A first zone of the topsheet has a water-resistance at least in the skin-contacting region which is higher than a water-resistance in a second zone extending outside the first zone so as to suppress a back flow of body fluids possibly occurring in the skin-contacting region.

摘要： A topsheet for use in body fluid absorptive articles is so improved that collapse and clogging of liquid passages therein may be reliably avoided. The topsheet includes an upper sheet, provided with skin-contacting areas and liquid passages, and a lower sheet provided with skin-non-contacting areas, areas welded to the liquid passages, and exposed areas. The exposed areas are welded to each of the liquid passages around lower openings thereof so as to protect the liquid passage against collapse and clogging. The exposed areas define a skin-contacting surface which rises up into each of the liquid passages without extending above the upper surface of the skin-contacting areas. The upper sheet cooperates with the lower sheet to define cavities extending in the direction of the topsheet thickness.
