摘要： A liquid crystal optical device includes: a first substrate having transparent plural strip electrodes formed to make groups in respective given areas; a second substrate having a transparent common electrode; and a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, in which a retardation distribution is controlled in respective given areas according to voltages to be applied between the common electrode and the strip electrodes, wherein wall spacers are provided at portions corresponding to boundaries of given areas between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a shield electrode to which a fixed value voltage is applied is provided on at least one of two wall surfaces of each spacer.

摘要： A display apparatus includes: a display unit that displays a two-dimensional image; and a variable lens array disposed to face the display unit, wherein the variable lens array includes a first substrate having a transparent first common electrode, a second substrate having a transparent second common electrode, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and forming liquid crystal lens columns, the liquid crystal layer is processed in such a way that liquid crystal molecules are so oriented that each of the liquid crystal lens columns produces refracting power in a state in which no potential difference is present between the first common electrode and the second common electrode, and a voltage applied between the first common electrode and the second common electrode controls the refracting power of each of the liquid crystal lens columns.

摘要： A display device includes a display unit in which pixels having first and second regions are arrayed in a matrix, the first region emitting first color light for displaying a stereoscopic image including images of a plurality of viewing points and the second region emitting second color light in order to display the stereoscopic image. The image processing unit generates “position misalignment amounts” between the “ideal solder position information” and “actual solder position information,” generates “print misalignment rates” indicating the extents of the “position misalignment amounts” relative to the “ideal solder sizes,” calculates a correction value relating to print position based on the “print misalignment rates,” and outputs a correction value signal to the solder printing machine.

The parallax applying section has a first parallel state and a second parallel state. The image generation section and the parallax application section are configured so that the rates of the colors at the pixels for the colors corresponding to light transmission regions between adjacent ones of the parallax barrier regions are uniform or got closer in both of the parallel states.
