摘要： A display device includes: a liquid crystal layer driven based on an image signal; a reflection layer reflecting ambient light to the liquid crystal layer, in which the ambient light enters the reflection layer through the liquid crystal layer; a retardation layer provided on a side of the liquid crystal layer from which the ambient light enters; a polarizer provided on the side of the liquid crystal layer from which the ambient light enters; and a modulation layer varying a color tone of image light depending on illuminance of the ambient light. The image light is reflected from the reflection layer and is emitted to outside through the liquid crystal layer, the retardation layer, and the polarizer.

摘要： A display apparatus includes a display panel including a first substrate, a second substrate opposed to the first substrate, and a touch sensor switch disposed in a display area that displays an image. The touch sensor switch includes a first touch electrode provided on a surface of the first substrate and a second touch electrode provided on a surface of the second substrate. The touch sensor switch has a structure in which the first and second touch electrodes are brought into contact when the display panel is deformed by an external pressure. The first substrate includes a convex portion that protrudes in a convex shape toward the second substrate. The convex portion has a top surface opposed to the second substrate and includes a flat area formed on the top surface. The first touch electrode is formed in the flat area on the convex portion as an isolated pattern.

摘要： A display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel; and a driver circuit that drives the liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel includes a liquid crystal layer, pixel electrodes provided in a region facing the liquid crystal layer and which apply a voltage thereto, and a phase difference layer and a polarizing plate each provided on a side, relative to the liquid crystal layer, which ambient light enters. Each of the pixel electrodes includes a plurality of partial electrodes, and the driver circuit selects one or more partial electrodes from the partial electrodes to which a constant voltage is to be applied in accordance with an image signal. The constant voltage causes the liquid crystal display panel to be in a white state. The driver circuit performs gray-scale display by modulating lighting area of each pixel at a frame rate of less than 60 Hz.

The touch sensor switch includes a first touch electrode provided on a surface of the first substrate facing the second substrate, and a second touch electrode provided on a surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate and spaced from and faces the first touch electrode. The first and second touch electrodes contact with each other when the touch panel is deformed by an external pressure. The first touch electrode covers a surface of a concave and convex area where grooves are formed to be spaced from each other, and on the surface on which the first touch electrode is provided, an application film is provided to expose a surface of a top face of a convex part of the concave and convex area.
