    摘要: A drink can induction heating apparatus includes a ferrite core having a plurality of projected portions and recesses formed between the adjacent projected portions. When a drink can is set in a position to be heated, each of the projected portions is oriented toward a longitudinal axis of the drink can and a particular portion of a circumferential wall of the drink can. The apparatus further includes a saddle-shaped heating coil which is partly received in the recesses of the ferrite core and covers a region around the foregoing particular portions of the drink can in a non-contact manner, and an inverter for feeding the AC power to the heating coil. The inverter is arranged to produce the AC power at a resonance frequency which corresponds to one of 5 kHz to 15 kHz where equivalent resistance values of an aluminum can and a steel can approximate to each other.

    摘要: A leakage testing apparatus for testing whether or not a hollow member of a hollow shape has a leakage, comprising: a hold mechanism for holding the hollow member such that the inside and the outside are isolated gas-tight from each other; an injection mechanism for injecting a testing gas into the hollow member held by the hold mechanism; and a leakage detector for sucking the gas around the hollow member held by the hold mechanism, to detect the leakage on the basis of the concentration of the testing gas in the sucked gas.

    摘要: The present invention provides a retortable container which has an engagement ridge (19), of an outer diameter D.sub.1 smaller than an inner diameter D.sub.2 of a thread of a cap (20), formed on the outer circumference of the neck (13) near the top face thereof and an engagement portion (26) having an engaging hook (26a), capable of engaging with the engagement ridge (19) of the neck (13) under the condition that engagement of the neck (13) and the cap (20) is completed, being formed integrally therewith on the bottom surface of the top wall (21) of the cap (20), whereas the engagement portion (26) is formed in a shape of cylinder having a wall thickness smaller than the wall thickness of the circumferential wall (28) of the cap (20), and the engaging hook (26a) protrudes in an annular shape inwardly from the open bottom end of the engagement portion (26). This configuration of the container is capable of preventing the cap (20) from coming off and the screw engagement of the container body and the cap (20) from loosening during sterilization process, and allows it to detach the cap (20) with less force (FIG. 2).
