Abstract:
For the first time, a screw cap (1) is realized with which a tubular bag to which the screw cap (1) is attached can be opened by a self-cutting process and metered dispensing from a metering opening (31) is simultaneously realized. The screw cap (1) consists of a lower part (2), on which a spacing means (4), used in practical terms as transport protection, is placed, and onto which a cutting sleeve (3) with a lateral metering opening (31) is screwed. The container can be opened by means of the cutting sleeve (3) and thereafter its contents can be dispensed in a metered manner by means of a valve piston (5) that is guided in the cutting sleeve (3) by a screwing movement. In the closed state, the valve piston (5) reaches into the cylinder (30) of the cutting sleeve (3) underneath the metering opening (31) and seals the cylinder (30), which is open at both ends, off against the container that is welded to the flange (21) of the lower part (2).
Abstract:
A device for packaging, conserving, and extemporaneously preparing a plurality of active principles, including a reservoir having a compartment for containing a volume of liquid, the reservoir including a neck defining a dispenser opening; a head that is movable relative to the reservoir between a first distal position for conservation and a second proximate position for preparation; a leaktight closure mechanism; and a rupture mechanism for rupturing the closure mechanism. The closure mechanism is formed by a blister that contains at least two active principles and has at least two compartments, each compartment containing an active principle. The blister is fastened on the neck of the reservoir so as to close it, such that after opening the blister by the rupture mechanism, the active principles enter into contact with the liquid and dissolve therein.
Abstract:
A device comprising a compartment attached to a container that keeps a first component, which may be moisture sensitive, from a second component, preferably a liquid, until a selected time before use. The compartment has improved manufacturability and decreased leakage.
Abstract:
A one-piece cap (10) for closing a liquid container to be installed for supply purpose in upside down position onto a liquid dispenser. Such container has a neck (14) on which the cap is sealingly mounted and through which a liquid supply tube (70) passes when the container is installed onto the dispenser. The cap comprises a lid (30) having a surface area substantially identical to the one of the neck (14), and a skirt (50) integrally projecting from the lid. The lid is provided with a central recess (32) including a tubular guiding portion (34) projecting from the lid in the same direction as the skirt (50). The guiding portion is sized and positioned to receive the supply tube (70). The central recess also includes a bottom portion that is in the form of a cone (36) that projects from the guiding portion and is provided with a number of frangible lines (38) extending within meridian planes in such a manner so as to allow splitting of the cone into a corresponding number of petal-shaped segments when the container is installed onto the dispenser and its cap and neck are penetrated by the supply tube. This cap is useful in that it may be used in any kind of water dispenser.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a retortable container which has an engagement ridge (19), of an outer diameter D.sub.1 smaller than an inner diameter D.sub.2 of a thread of a cap (20), formed on the outer circumference of the neck (13) near the top face thereof and an engagement portion (26) having an engaging hook (26a), capable of engaging with the engagement ridge (19) of the neck (13) under the condition that engagement of the neck (13) and the cap (20) is completed, being formed integrally therewith on the bottom surface of the top wall (21) of the cap (20), whereas the engagement portion (26) is formed in a shape of cylinder having a wall thickness smaller than the wall thickness of the circumferential wall (28) of the cap (20), and the engaging hook (26a) protrudes in an annular shape inwardly from the open bottom end of the engagement portion (26). This configuration of the container is capable of preventing the cap (20) from coming off and the screw engagement of the container body and the cap (20) from loosening during sterilization process, and allows it to detach the cap (20) with less force (FIG. 2).
Abstract:
A rigid container for liquids having an integrated dispenser is disclosed. The dispenser adapted to be received within an opening formed in the bottom of the container. The dispenser has a body which includes first and second flanges extending away from the body. These flanges define an annular outer recess therebetween which is adapted to receive a portion of said container wall. The dispenser body is supported within the container bottom opening such that the outer flange abuts an outer surface of the container wall and the inner flange abuts an inner surface of the wall. The dispenser also includes a thin, breakable membrane which extends across a recess formed in an inner portion of the dispenser body. The breakable membrane initially seals the container opening when the dispenser is positioned in the container wall. The breakable membrane is broken when a dispensing key is inserted within the dispenser inner recess. The breakable membrane may include a ring located adjacent its outer peripheral edge. The ring has a reduced thickness as compared to the thickness of the remaining portion of the breakable membrane for assisting the dispensing key in rupturing the membrane.
Abstract:
A method of cleaning a drain by unlocking and opening a container within a dispenser and dispensing drain cleaner from the container, through an outlet of the dispenser, and into the drain. The dispenser may have an upwardly extending pin for opening the container. Alternatively, the dispenser may have a cutter for opening an angled end of the container. In another alternative, the container may include a plug and a cooperating stem for opening the bottom of the container. A mechanism for locking the dispenser in an unused state is included in the dispenser.

Abstract:
A container provided for the controlled dispensing of powders and liquids which compress,a container body,an extremely threaded neck provided on said container body,a cylindrical, tubular extension member axially connected at one end to the externally threaded container neck, the cylindrical, tubular extension member having an inner base compressing a calibrated portion and terminating at the other end thereof in a divergent frustoconical outlet mouth portion,a rupturable transverse membrane diaphragm scalingly separating the calibrated portion from the outlet mouth portion,a circumferential groove provided on the outer surface of said tubular extension member, in the vicinity of the diaphragm,a cylindrical capsule acting as a scaling and rescaling device, the capsule having at one end thereof an internally threaded portion adapted for screw engagement with the externally threaded neck, andan elastic training ring circumferentially provided on the inner surface of the cylindrical capsule for spring-engagement with said circumferential groove, whereby when the restraining ring is engaged on said circumferential groove, the axial movement of the cylindrical capsule relative to the extremely threaded neck is prevented.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a closing assembly for containers, such as bottles and/or jars, which allows a hermetically isolated additive to be dispensed into the inside of said container, via a cartridge, characterised in that the assembly comprises a closing device having a main body (3) with joining means that allow detachable connection to a removable cartridge (4) storing the additive to be released, where said removable cartridge (4) houses a piercing projection (5) that can be actuated by direct contact with an actuator (2) connected to said main body (3).
