Abstract:
A method of sealing a container includes filling a receptacle with dispensable contents, coupling a closure to the receptacle to cover an open mouth of the receptacle, sealing the open mouth with a liner; engaging a pressure source to a sealing rib on a top face of the closure; and using a pressure source to force air through the openings and an air passage formed between a skirt of the closure and a neck of the receptacle.
Abstract:
A synthetic resin cap comprises: a cap body having a top plate and a cylinder that is vertically lowered from the peripheral edge thereof; and a liner provided on a lower surface of the top plate. The liner has a flat plate; an inter-seal projection that contacts an inner-edge side of an opening end and has an outer-seal projection that contacts an outer-edge side of the opening end. An outer edge of the liner is spaced apart from the cylinder at an internal side and is formed to ensure a space between the outer edge and the cylinder. The outer diameter of the outer-seal projection is smaller than an outer diameter of the opening end.
Abstract:
A closure includes a skirt defining an outer periphery of the closure and having an open bottom end configured to fit over the mouth of a receptacle, an end wall positioned atop the skirt to close a top end of the skirt and form a top face of the closure, one or more openings formed through the end wall, and a sealing rib formed on the top face and diametrically disposed outboard the one or more openings.
Abstract:
A method for providing pre-assembled and sterilized container closure assemblies that are each adapted to be secured onto a container including manufacturing pre-assembled container closure assemblies each adapted to be secured onto a container, injection molding a monolithic spout body of thermoplastic material, injection molding a manually removable rotational cap, securing the cap onto the neck of the spout body in a closed position of the cap, submerging each of the pre-assembled container closure assemblies in a bath of sterilizing liquid, and removing the container closure assemblies from the bath of sterilizing liquid, and allowing the sterilizing liquid to drain. A pre-assembled container closure assembly adapted to be secured onto a container is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A packaging assembly includes a container body defining an interior for housing a product and an opening leading to the interior. The assembly further includes a cap that moves with respect to the container body to move the assembly between a closed position in which the cap covers the opening, and an opened position in which the opening is exposed. A first seal (40) is defined between the container body and the cap. The first seal includes a protrusion (42) formed on one of the container body about the opening or the cap, and a groove (44) formed on the other of the container body about the opening or the cap. The protrusion is received by the groove when the assembly is in the closed position, such that contact is maintained in a sealing relationship around the opening between the groove and the protrusion.
Abstract:
A reusable bottle cap, comprising a lower bottle attaching component, a threaded connector, an upper cap component having a lower collar portion and an upper lid portion, and a living hinge connecting the upper cap component lower collar portion and the upper cap component upper lid portion.
Abstract:
A pre-assembled container closure assembly (1) has a plastic spout body (2) with a tubular neck (4) delimiting a product passage (6) that extends to a mouth opening (8) of the neck. A rotational cap (30) is secured in closed position on the neck. The cap has a cap body including a top wall (31)and a skirt (32). The cap body further includes an annular inner sealing ring (40) depending from the top wall. The inside of the neck is provided with an inward tapering annular guide surface (15) that is contacted by the inner sealing ring when the cap is secured onto the spout body and then causes an elastic deformation of the inner sealing ring and/or the neck. The inner sealing ring is embodied such that the first annular sealing surface (41) on the exterior side of the inner sealing ring and a lowermost annular surface (43) of the interior side of the sealing ring adjoin one another directly at an apex (44) which forms the lower edge of the inner sealing ring, and in that—with the cap in closed position—said apex lies against the interior side of the neck, said lowermost annular surface extending from said apex to form an angle of at least 90° with an exposed surface portion of the interior side of the neck directly below said apex so as to avoid the presence of any gap between the inner sealing ring and the neck at said apex.
Abstract:
A closure (5) suitable for mounting onto a container (80). A closure comprises a main closure (10) having a top portion (11) that has an aperture (32) therethrough and a skirt (12) depending downwardly from the top portion (11) that is attachable to the container. A sealing rib (16) extends inwardly from the inner surface of the main closure (10) and is adapted to form a seal with the end portion of the container (80). A spout (33) extends upwardly from the top portion (11) and defines a bore that is in fluid communication with the aperture (32) in the top portion (11). A plug (36) having radially outer surface is mounted to the spout (33). The closure further comprises a top cap (50) that is mountable to the spout and is relatively movable between a first position where the plug (36) seals an opening in the top cap (5) and at least a second position where the plug (36) is withdrawn from the opening. On relative movement of the top cap (50) from the first position towards the second position, a sealing member (59) of the top cap (50) rides up over one or more protuberances (40) extending outwardly from the spout so as to at least partially release the seal made by the sealing member (59) with the spout (33).
Abstract:
Closure system for a container including a cap and a ring adapted to engage by screwing in order to seal the opening, the cap including an upper wall from which in a downwards direction there extends an annular skirt that has a lower annular end and a radially inner surface fitted with a thread. The ring has an annular top rim, an annular collar and a thread complementary to the thread of the cap provided between the collar and the rim of the ring. The skirt of the cap includes a projecting annular member forming a barrier and adapted to be supported against the whole periphery of the collar of the ring in a substantially radial direction.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a closure for sealing of an orifice of a neck of a container. The closure comprises a top portion, an outer skirt and a sealing means. The sealing means comprises an outer sealing means suitable to be engaged with an outer free peripheral surface of neck. The outer sealing means comprises an annular base radially distanced to said outer skirt and at least one annular sealing ring protruding radially inwardly over said base.
