    摘要: A light guide unit including a light guide plate and a plurality of rod lenses is provided. The light guide plate has a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a light incident surface connecting the first surface and the second surface. The light guide plate further has a plurality of diffusion net points located at the second surface. The rod lenses are disposed on the first surface. Each of the rod lenses extends along a first direction and has a curved surface curving in a second direction. The rod lenses are arranged along the second direction. Pitches of the adjacent diffusion net points in the first direction are smaller than pitches of the adjacent diffusion net points in the second direction. A backlight module using the light guide unit is also provided.

    摘要: A hologram disc reading and writing apparatus including a signal light source module, a beam splitter, a reference/reading light source, a reflector, and an optical reading head and a hologram disc reading apparatus are provided. A signal light beam emitted from the signal light source module is transmitted to a data region of a hologram disc through the beam splitter. The reference/reading light source, the signal light source module, and the optical reading head are disposed at the same side of the hologram disc. The reflector is disposed at the other side. A spherical wave light beam emitted from the reference/reading light source is transmitted through the data region and reflected by the reflector to form a phase conjugate light beam transmitted to and through the data region. The phase conjugate light beam is transformed to a data light beam transmitted to the optical reading head through the beam splitter.

Each first micro structure forms a first orthogonal projection area on the light-receiving surface, each second micro structure forms a second orthogonal projection area on the light-receiving surface, the second planar surface is located within the first orthogonal projection area, and the entire area of the second planar surface is equal to the second orthogonal projection area.

    摘要: A light guide plate includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a light incident surface, and a plurality of lenticular lenses and microstructure assemblies. The light incident surface is connected with the first surface and the second surface, and light beams enter the light guide plate by the light incident surface. The lenticular lenses are disposed on the first surface. Each of the lenticular lenses is suitable to deflect imaginary light beams that are incident on the first surface in a predetermined direction to form a focus region on the second surface. The microstructure assemblies are disposed on the focus regions for guiding the light beams incident on the focus regions. A plurality of planar regions are formed on the second surface. Each of the planar regions is disposed between two adjacent microstructure assemblies and suitable for totally reflecting the light beams incident thereon.

    摘要: A fabrication method of a brightness enhancement film (BEF) including the following steps is provided. A light transmissive substrate is provided and has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. Then, a plurality of first rod-shaped lenses are formed on the first surface. The rod-shaped lenses extend along a first direction and are arranged along a second direction. After that, a plurality of second stripe-shaped prisms are formed on the second surface. The stripe-shaped prisms extend along the second direction and are arranged along the first direction. Next, an electromagnetic wave beam is made to pass through the rod-shaped lenses, the light transmissive substrate and the stripe-shaped prisms in sequence. A first portion of each of the stripe-shaped prisms exposes and leaves a second portion of each of the stripe-shaped prisms unexposed. Then, the second portions of the stripe-shaped prisms are removed.

    摘要: A light guide plate capable of guiding a light beam from a light emitting device and a backlight module using the light guide plate are provided. The light guide plate includes a light-transmissive substrate and optical structures. The light-transmissive substrate has a first surface, an opposite second surface, and an incident surface connecting the first and the second surface. The light beam enters the light-transmissive substrate through the incident surface and is emitted out of the light-transmissive substrate through the first surface. The optical structures are disposed on the second surface. Each optical structure has a first total internal reflection (TIR) surface, a second TIR surface, and a third TIR surface. The second TIR surface connects the first and third TIR surfaces. Part of the light beam from the incident surface is totally internally reflected by any adjacent two of the first, second, and third TIR surfaces in sequence.
