A method of producing a top gate thin-film transistor comprises the steps of forming doped silicon source and drain regions (6a,8a) on an insulating substrate (2) and subjecting the face of the substrate (2) on which the source and drain regions (6a,8a) are formed to plasma treatment to form a doped surface layer. An amorphous silicon layer (12) is formed on the doped surface layer over at least the spacing between the source and drain regions (6a,8a) and an insulated gate structure (14,16) is formed over the amorphous silicon layer (12). Laser annealing of areas of the amorphous silicon layer not shielded by the gate conductor is carried out to form polysilicon portions (12a,12b) having the impurities diffused therein. In the method of the invention, doped silicon source and drain regions underlie the silicon layer to be crystallized using the laser annealing process. It has been found that the laser annealing process can then result in crystallization of the full thickness of the amorphous silicon layer. This results from the similar thermal properties of the doped source and drain regions and the silicon layer defining the main body of the transistor.

Method and device for providing a layer (6) of a coating material on the inner side (2) of a display window (1) for a color display tube. A drop (3) of a suspension of said coating material is deposited on the inner side of the display window, its axis of symmetry (4) being oriented vertically. Then the display window is rotated around said axis of symmetry, and at the same time, said axis is tilted to a horizontal position. The suspension is thereby distributed on the inner side of the display window. An excess of suspension is collected during the rotation in four collection cups (8) arranged at the corners (7) of the display window, whence it is drained off to a central collection cup (10). Finally, the part of the suspension which remains on the display window is dried by infrared radiation (9). As the suspension is drained from the four collection cups to the central collection cup during the rotation, there is no risk that the suspension may drip from the cups onto the display window. Thus, the rotation can be carried out at such a low velocity that layers having a very homogeneous thickness can be formed.

The invention relates to a new method of reconstruction of tridimensional scenes. While conventional methods are often limited to the 3D reconstruction of the bounding volume of the concerned objects, the proposed method of recovery of a 3D geometric model from 2D views taken by one single camera, giving an information even about the parts which are hidden in each view, is implemented according to a first depth labeling step, implemented in a sub-system (11) and including initialization and projection sub-steps followed by a refinement process, and to a second reconstruction step, implemented in a sub-system (12). By means of a close cooperation of the 3D depth maps thus obtained for two views of a scene, a 3D model is identified and extracted.
