摘要: Headbox of a paper machine and a process of supplying a material suspension, The headbox includes at least one material suspension supplying system, and a headbox nozzle that includes a first dividing wall having a machine width and a second dividing wall having a machine width. The first and second dividing walls are arranged to form a first path in which a total nozzle cross-section steadily and continually decreases in a material flow direction and to form a second path, arranged to follow the first path, in which a total nozzle cross-section continually increases in the material flow direction. The process includes includes accelerating the material suspension along a first path having a total nozzle cross-section that steadily and continually decreases in a material flow direction, and decelerating the material suspension along a second path having a total nozzle cross-section that continually increases in the material flow direction. The second path is arranged to follow the first path.

The dewatering device includes a circulating flexible continuous belt and an opposite surface. The circulating flexible continuous belt and the opposite surface are arranged to form a nip elongated in a web travel direction, and at least one screen is adapted to guide the material web through the nip. A saddle, which is arranged to support the circulating flexible continuous belt, is segmented in the web travel direction into saddle segments connected to each other. The saddle segments are at least partially separately pressurized. The dewatering process includes guiding the material web through the nip, and at least partially separately pressurizing the saddle segments against the opposite surface. The glazing device includes a heated roller composed of a saddle roller and a mating roller, and the heated roller and the mating roller are arranged to form a nip elongated in a web travel direction. The saddle roller may include a flexible roller jacket supported by a saddle which is segmented in the web travel direction into saddle segments connected to each other. The saddle segments are at least partially separately pressurized. The glazing process includes guiding the material web through the nip, and at least partially separately pressurizing the saddle segments against the mating roller.

摘要: An indicator used for monitoring whether or not a cooled or deep-frozen product has exceeded a preset critical temperature. The indicator includes a hollow shape which is symmetrically divided by separating walls. This structure allows the indicator fluids to be placed on a circular radius within the hollow shape. This design also exhibits a special centrifugal axis. This axis allows the fact that the products have reached the critical temperature to be disclosed in the following manner: the indicator fluids melt and move away from their resting place in the hollow shape. If the fluids are re-frozen, they can not return to their prior resting place because the fluids arrived at that original resting place due to centrifugation. Thus, departure from the fluids' centrifuged state gives notice that the products have reached their critical temperature.

摘要: A method for monitoring frozen products and an indicator for temperature monitoring of the frozen products using one or several liquids with various melting temperatures; the liquids are encapsuled in cavities of an indicator and are frozen in certain geometric patterns. During the melting process these liquids lose their frozen shape. The cavities are at least partially elastic-deformable, and the liquid is forced into certain geometric patterns by means of mechanic deformation of the walls. The deformation of the walls is accomplished by application of a stamp which has been cooled.

摘要: A fuel tank, for a vehicle or heating plant, includes a flexible air container therein, forming a fuel space outside the air container. The air container seals the interior of the fuel tank to the exterior and the fuel vapors in the fuel tank are drawn off and directed into the engine and burned. The vapors can be so drawn off by the vacuum produced by the engine, or by a pump. Fresh air from the exterior is drawn into and through the air container and directed into the fuel mixture for combustion, clearing out any vapors that may have collected in the air container. A filter is controllably utilized for adsorbing, or absorbing the vapors, and fresh air is controllably drawn into the filter for clearing those vapors out and directing them into the fuel mixture for combustion.

摘要: Structurally strong, investment quality gold articles of high troy weight, excellent color and revealing properties and the method of their production are described, including the formation of a structural base from an alloy containing not over 8% of a strengthening material such as chromium, titanium or vanadium, which can provide the required strength and hardness in low concentrations, and overlayment or "overaching" with a gold alloy coating in a manner such that both alloys are visible. The structural base provides the support, strength and resistance to corrosion in articles of various shapes, while retaining a high degree of gold fineness.

摘要: A mixer-unit is attached to the cold and hot water mains and serves to adjust the quantity and temperature of the water. The mixer unit is not fitted with an operating handle or lever, the adjustment of the water quantity and temperature is achieved by pivoting the water outlet about two independent axes of movement. Disc-shaped regulating elements serve for the independent adjustment of both the water quantity and temperature which are operable by means of a cam connected to the rotatable and pivotable water outlet.

摘要: In electrolysis installations which possess in a common tank a plurality of anode and cathode plates electrically connected one behind the other, uniform supply to or flow through the individual cells is of greatest importance. According to the invention, the inflow, but also if possible the outflow, is placed below the liquid level, and a distributor pocket for uniform distribution of the liquid is connected between the inflow or outflow of the liquid and its entrance or exit from the electrolytic tank, respectively. For optimum adjustment of the chemical and physical constitution of the liquid, flow-independent measuring and adjusting of the liquid is achieved by a sensor which is arranged in a by-pass to the cycle line of the etching fluid between the etching tank and the electrolytic cell.
