    摘要: A weld current switch includes a channel-shaped core, a shunt, and a magnetic reed switch. The magnetic reed switch and shunt are placed across the core poles. An electrical conductor carrying high current passes through the core. Upon deenergization of the electrical current, a residual magnetism remains in the core. The residual magnetism is normally high enough to prevent the magnetic reed switch from opening. However, the shunt directs sufficient magnetic flux from the switch such that the switch senses a much lower level of magnetic flux than if the shunt were not present. As a result, the switch opens, even with the high residual flux in the core. The increased reliability of the switch upon decreasing current at electrical conductor deenergization enables the weld current switch to use a higher sensitivity switch than was formerly possible. The higher sensitivity switch reduces the level of magnetic flux at which the reed switch will close on increasing current upon energization of the electrical conductor.

    摘要: An overload protective system continuously monitors the forward overturning moment on a counterbalanced lift truck and prevents further raising of the carriage or further forward tilting of the mast when the overturning moment is excessive. Resistance strain gage sensors mounted on a load carrying tilt jack pin which resists the overturning moment are connected in an electrical bridge which may be inherently unbalanced due to the weight of the unloaded carriage and derives a strain signal proportional to the mechanical strain in the load carrying anchor pin when the carriage supports a load; a high gain differential amplifier raises the level of the strain signal output from the bridge and unbalance compensating adjustment means permit selective variation of the potential difference between the inputs to the differential amplifier until its output voltage is substantially zero to thereby compensate for unbalance in the bridge when the carriage is unloaded; a visual indicator is lighted when the differential amplifier output voltage is substantially zero to thereby indicate that bridge unbalance is compensated for; a comparator derives a trip signal when the differential amplifier output voltage reaches a predetermined magnitude when the carriage supports a load; a shift register receiving clock pulses from an oscillator as a time reference records the history of the comparator output and a decoder analyzes the shift register output and sets a latch when the trip signal comparator output has been present for a predetermined interval of time; and disabling means responsive to setting of the latch de-energize operating coils for blocking valves which inhibit further raising of the carriage or further forward tilting of the mast.

    摘要: A combine harvester vehicle having threshing, separating and cleaning stages for cut crop material and a tailings return elevator for conveying tailings to one of the stages for recycling, is provided with a tailings monitor including a photodiode for transmitting a radiant energy beam across the path of tailings being conveyed in the elevator, an electrical circuit including a photodetector for deriving digital signals indicative of whether the beam is impinging on the photodetector or is being interrupted by the tailings, and an RC circuit which charges a capacitor through a resistance when the digital signal is present indicating that the beam is interrupted and discharges it when the opposite digital signal is present to thereby develop an average voltage across the capacitor which is an analog of the percentage of time that the beam is interrupted by the tailings being conveyed in the elevator and can be visually displayed on a voltmeter to the combine operator as a measure of tailings volume. In an alternative embodiment the digital signals are coupled to a microprocessor for processing of the signals and display to the operator.

    摘要: A transformer and method of making a transformer is disclosed. The transformer has a magnetic core, a first winding and a second winding. The first and second windings are wound about the core, and an insulating jacket, which includes a plurality of protrusion, mounted about the core. One of the first and second windings is wound about the insulating jacket. The core is preferably a toroid core in one embodiment. Some of the anchors are on the inner diameter of the insulating jacket, and other on the outer diameter of the insulating jacket. The anchors are preferably spaced at equal circumferential positions. The windings are a progressive windings, with various sections, and each section has a number of layers. Each progressive section is anchored by at least two of the anchors. The first and second windings are wound directly on the core insulation, and the insulating jacket is mounted directly on the core. The windings are separated by protrusions having sufficient size to provide electrical clearance and reduce electrical creepage.

    摘要: An apparatus and method is disclosed for series inductance-reactance control of a transformer in a welder. The transformer includes a transformer core configured to conduct magnetic flux and at least one primary winding connected to a voltage source that excites the primary windings. Secondary windings, configured to generate secondary voltages and currents for welding, are wound about each of the primary windings and are magnetically coupled to the magnetic flux in the transformer core. The transformer also includes a control core magnetically coupled with a secondary winding, wherein the control core has an inductive reactance in response to the flow of secondary current from the secondary winding. The secondary current is adjustable by varying an air gap between core sections of the control core. A crank mechanism configured to move one of the core sections with respect to the other and vary the distance of the air gap.

    摘要: A system for indicating area traversed by a vehicular implement has a ground speed sensor for generating ground speed pulses at a frequency which is a function of the implement ground speed; a pulse generator for deriving fixed width pulses from said ground speed pulses; an integrator for accumulating the fixed width pulses to derive a positive slope dc signal whose instantaneous magnitude is an analog of distance traveled by the implement; a comparator for comparing the analog signal to a reference signal whose magnitude is an inverse function of the width of path traversed by the implement and for providing an output signal when the former becomes equal to the latter, whereby the output signal indicates that the implement has traversed an area equal to the distance traveled multiplied by the path width; and a counter for registering and displaying the number of output signals as an indication of area traversed. Preferably the width of the pulses applied to the integrator can be selectively varied by the implement operator to compensate for difference in gear ratios or wheel and tire sizes of different implement models.

The apparatus includes a detector circuit capable of sensing a short circuit of an SCR in the power supply equipment. The detector circuit senses each voltage of a poly-phase input and generates a fault signal upon substantially simultaneous detection of a zero-cross voltage condition for each phase of the poly-phase input. A control circuit is configured to receive the fault signal of the detector circuit and generate an output to prevent fault current flow through to power supply equipment.
