摘要: Systems and methods to provide welding-type arc starting and stabilization with reduced open circuit voltage are disclosed. An example welding-type power supply includes: power conversion circuitry configured to convert input power to welding-type power; and control circuitry configured to: control the power conversion circuitry to output a voltage pulse at a first voltage; determine whether the power conversion circuitry outputs current during the voltage pulse; in response to determining that there is less than a threshold output current during the voltage pulse, control the power conversion circuitry to turn off an output or output a second voltage that is less than the first voltage; and in response to determining that the power conversion circuitry outputs at least the threshold output current during the voltage pulse, control the power conversion circuitry to output the welding-type power.

摘要: A method and apparatus for initiating arc spraying is disclosed. The invention includes feeding the wires to an arc at a predetermined rate, for a predetermined length of time. Thereafter the wires are fed at a rate which is controlled in response to the current magnitude. The arc is also monitored and the condition of the arc--whether there is a shortage or outage--is indicated to the user.

摘要: A welding control method alternately repeats a short circuit period, during which a welding wire and an object to be welded short-circuit, and an arc period, during which an arc is generated and discharged, to weld the object to be welded. The method compares average output voltage, which is an average of welding voltage calculated during welding, to set voltage preliminarily set, and controls a welding output current produced when an arc is generated based on the comparison result therefrom, to regulate the meltage of the wire for adjusting the arc length, which brings the short circuit cycle closer to a constant one when a disturbance (e.g. extended or shortened arc length) occurs.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for controlling a welding robot is disclosed. In the method, an initial welding is performed under initial welding conditions while moving a welding object and a welding torch relatively to each other along a predetermined welding line. Then, a change point at which at least one of the welding conditions should be changed, and a change value of the welding condition, are determined. The welding conditions are changed to the change value at the change point while the welding operation and the relative movement of the welding object and the welding torch are continued. Thus, the welding operation is not stopped during the real-time change of the welding conditions such as welding voltage, welding current, welding speed and the like. Thus, working efficiency and the welding quality are improved, and the discontinuity of the welding bead does not occur.

摘要: Three parameters represent speed, current and voltage are combined to produce an electrical signal representing a desired uniform heat for an operation in which a movable workpiece is involved. A set of electrical signals are developed during the actual operation and combined with the electrical signal representing the standard heat. A resulting error signal and feedback circuit maintain the heat at the workpiece substantially at the desired uniform heat.

摘要: A pulse welding apparatus using a pulse discharge such as a pulse arc welding apparatus and a short-circuit transfer arc welding apparatus. A pulse current waveform control circuit, which controls the pulse arc current so that a desired pulse arc current is supplied to the arc welding power supply for outputting the pulse arc current to the welding load unit, is constructed such that the optimum welding operation may be performed without having to adjust circuit components and modify circuit design. The pulse current waveform control circuit is in the form of a microcomputerized digital circuit which operates under a program to provide a desired pulse arc current. A modification of the program can provide any desired pulse arc currents without changing circuits. The optimum welding current waveform parameters or a target arc length signal is learned in the first welding stage and stored into a memory. An arc length feedback control or a current waveform control is performed under the control of program on the basis of the optimum welding current waveform parameters or the target arc length signal so as to control the faulty separation of globules when magnetic blow occurs and so as to reduce the variation of arc length due to external disturbances occurring at the welding torch so that improved welding quality is ensured under various environment.

摘要: An a.c. operated arc welding current supply unit comprises a frequency converter of the series capacitor type and operating with a half period which is substantially less than the average duration of the current and voltage transients caused by short circuits through droplets of weld material during welding. The frequency converter is connected to welding electrodes through a transformer in series with a rectifier to provide direct current for the welding electrodes, and the frequency converter is associated with a control device for maintaining the operating frequency of the converter constant, thereby maintaining the arc power substantially unchanged irrespective of changes in load caused by the welding operation.
