    摘要: A switching modulator for a microwave radar transmitter is presented. In embodiment, a string of series connected transistors is controlled from an external source for pulse modulating the cathodes of transmitter microwave tubes. The individual components of the series string can be individually switched ON or OFF in order to maintain regulation of the modulation pulse. In a second embodiment, a pulse transformer has a plurality of individual primary windings and a single secondary winding wherein the primary windings are specially wound to provide isolation between the primary windings with the flux in the secondary winding and the voltage generated in the secondary winding being proportional to the sum of the excitation of the primary windings. Each of the primary windings are individually switchable for regulating the generated output voltage at the secondary winding.

    摘要: A self-synchronized apparatus for recognizing identifying codes especiallyn missiles and spacecraft. The apparatus comprises a video quantizer for receiving bipolar video input signals and providing an output of validly timed data to a decode register which is clocked by a free running oscillator. The decode register defines a valid mark as "K" high bits followed by "K" low bits where 2K is the capacity of the decode register. A constant width decoder compares the first K bits in a sequential, pairwise fashion with the inverse of the values of the second K bits. The constant width decoder ANDs the pairwise comparison outputs to insure that "K" high bits are followed by "K" low bits before a "mark" signal is produced. A derivative data buffer receives the "mark" signals. A synchronous counter is coupled to the derivative buffer and the free running oscillator to produce one output pulse for every N oscillator output pulses. The inputs of the derivative buffer presets the sync counter to synchronize the derivative clock output with the actual data as transmitted.

    摘要: A test set for an amplifier or other electronic device in which a waveformenerator furnishes a modulated RF signal to the item under test. Sensors extract samples of the RF signal at the item's input and output. A detector-mixer network compares and processes the input and output sample signals and produces signals at its output which are indicative of the phase distortion and amplitude distortion introduced by the item. The phase and amplitude distortion signals are sampled and held for each modulating signal pulse and are then processed to compile statistical data regarding the item's performance.
