    摘要: An apparatus for and method of making and delivering slush ice includes providing a main housing (28) having a floor (30) and substantially cylindrical sidewalls (32). The housing (28) includes a water inlet (58) and an ice inlet (26). A pump (34) having a delivery outlet (50) is positioned to have an inlet (44) substantially centered axially within the housing (28) and spaced a predetermined distance from the floor (30). A delivery conduit (52) extends from the delivery outlet (50) of the pump (34) to a second end (72, 88) remote therefrom. A rotating agitator member (54, 54') having an axis of rotation substantially centered co-axially within the housing (28) is positioned such that the agitator (54, 54') swirls ice and water in the housing (28) substantially around the pump inlet (44). The pump (34) draws ice and water through the inlet (44) and delivers a mixture of ice and water in the form of slush ice (16) through the delivery outlet (50). Slush ice produced according to this method and by this apparatus is soft, noncaking, and free of irregular and sharp edges.

    摘要: An invention is provided for a hand drying apparatus for drying and sanitizing hands is disclosed. The hand drying apparatus includes a housing having an air intake opening and a heating element situated within the housing capable of heating air drawn into the hand drying apparatus through the air intake opening. Also located within the housing is an air conduit that is in communication with the air intake opening. Further included is a blower that is capable of drawing an air stream into the air conduit through the air intake opening. An ozone gas generator is in communication with the air conduit that is capable of injecting ozone into the air stream to create an ozonated air stream. In this manner, the blower ejects a heated ozonated air stream out of the hand drying apparatus through the air conduit, whereby a user's hands are dried and sanitized.

    摘要: An inner housing (38) is positioned within an outer housing (36). An gas/liquid mixture is caused to flow along a helical path upwardly through an outer chamber (70) that is formed by and between sidewalls (56, 64) of the outer and inner housings (36, 38). The gas/liquid mixture flows through a passageway (74) between a top end wall (62) and an upper end edge (66), from outer chamber (70) into an inner chamber (72). Residual gas is removed from the gas/liquid mixture by a gas-vent device that projects from top end wall (62) downwardly into the inner chamber (72). Liquid in the inner chamber (72) flows downwardly through an outlet opening (54) into an outlet conduit (44). The outlet conduit (44) has an effluent branch that removes liquid from the apparatus. It also includes a second branch conduit that delivers some of the liquid to the inlet of a re-circulating pump (34). The re-circulating pump (34) pumps the re-circulated liquid back into the lower end of the outer chamber (70). New gas and new untreated liquid is added to the re-circulated liquid before it is introduced into chamber (70). The re-circulated liquid, the new gas and the untreated liquid are admixed into a conduit and are then introduced into the lower end portion of the outer chamber (70) as an upward swirling helical current.
