摘要: One embodiment provides a system for using Augmented Reality (AR) to facilitate displaying business graphics. The system receives at a computer system a video stream including an image of a marker, the marker being a physical object that is manipulated by the user and is recognizable by the computer system. The system recognizes the marker and receives from the user a selection of a business graphic. Next, the system renders the business graphic over the image of the marker in the video stream such that the image of the marker is obscured by the business graphic. The system then recognizes a manipulation of the marker indicated by a change in the image of the marker in the video stream. Next, the system performs an action on the business graphic that corresponds to the manipulation of the marker. Finally, the system displays the video stream to the user.

摘要: During a correction technique, a computer system determines that an identifier for an individual received from a source is invalid based on a technique used to generate identifiers for individuals. In response, the computer system calculates one or more possible correct identifiers and associated confidence values based on the identifier and the source. Then, the computer system selects at least one of the possible correct identifiers as the correct identifier.

摘要: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that facilitates automated accounting. During operation, the system receives a check voucher at a system, wherein the check voucher corresponds to a check. Next, the system performs an optical character recognition (OCR) operation on the check voucher to identify a set of tokens printed on the check voucher. The system then searches a dictionary of tokens for open invoices to identify a match between the set of tokens printed on the check voucher and tokens associated with an open invoice. Next, the system determines an amount of the check by determining the value of an amount token printed on the check voucher. Finally, the system applies a payment for the amount of the check to the open invoice.

摘要: A comparison technique for efficiently comparing an input string to a set of strings is described. This set of strings may be represented in a tree structure as paths from a root of the tree structure to leaves of the tree structure, and strings in the set of strings that share common substrings share nodes in the tree structure. During the comparison technique, labels may be assigned to a given node in the tree structure based at least in part on comparisons between a given character in the input string and a character associated with the given node. These labels may include a position of the given character in the input string, and a cumulative error between the characters in a string that are associated with a branch in the tree structure and the characters in the input string that have been processed. Based at least in part on these labels, an actual string, which corresponds to the input string, may be identified.

摘要: Embodiments of a computer system, a method, and a computer-program product (e.g., software) for use with the computer system are described. These embodiments may be used to identify and correct errors in financial information that was extracted using character-recognition software, such as optical character recognition software and/or intelligent character recognition software. In particular, potential errors may be identified by comparing the financial information for a current financial transaction of a user with expected financial information from one or more previous financial transactions of the user. Error metrics for these potential errors may be determined and used to correct at least some of the potential errors. For example, values of the Levenshtein edit distance may be determined based on the comparison, and one or more potential errors associated with one or more minimum values of the Levenshtein edit distance may be corrected.

摘要: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system that recognizes a personal object in an image and facilitates providing a related financial service. During operation, the system receives an image of an object associated with a user, where the image includes environmental features associated with the user. Next, the system extracts content from the image by processing the image (and the included environmental features) using an image-processing technique. The system then associates the extracted content with information in a pre-existing data structure, where the pre-existing data structure includes financial information associated with the object. Next, the system facilitates a financial service associated with the object based on the information. For example, the system may generate an insurance appraisal for the object based on the information.

摘要: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for recognizing a feature of an image independently of the orientation or scale of the image. During operation, the system receives an image. Next, the system identifies a feature within the image. The system then performs a principal component analysis (PCA) operation on the feature to determine an orientation of a primary component of the feature and a secondary component of the feature, wherein the PCA operation is performed while source data for the image is retained. Finally, the system recognizes the feature by analyzing the primary component of the feature and the secondary component of the feature.
