In order to facilitate the ignition of the stripline laser, an auxiliary discharge path is provided which is formed either by segmentation of the HF electrode or by at least one auxiliary electrode that is arranged along the electrode surface and adjacent to the discharge path.

    摘要： A device for producing sponge iron from iron oxide lumps consists of a reduction shaft in which a hot dust laden reducing gas is delivered. The gas is produced in a gas generator by means of partial oxidation of solid carbon carriers and passes into the lower end of the reduction zone via lateral reduction gas inlets. The iron oxide lumps are fed to the upper area of the reduction shaft and are radially fed as sponge iron to the lower end of said reduction shaft via delivery organs. The delivery organs are arranged in such a manner that the sponge iron is conveyed only radially outwardly.

    摘要： An HF-excited laser for high input powers, particularly a CO.sub.2 stripline laser, is provided. For supply of a high-power HF energy, a matching unit is integrated into the laser. The matching unit contains an L-C element, whereby the inductance L and the capacitance C are variable. The inductance can be set by a variation of the length of the electrically conductive parts of an HF feed and of an HF tap. The capacitor is annularly designed and the capacitance is defined by the size of a capacitor wafer and by the properties of the dielectric.
