    摘要: A system transfers radio frequency energy from a radio frequency power amplifier (RFPA) to a slab laser. The system includes a connector, a printed circuit board, a conductive plate and a first inductor element. The connector is configured to receive a radio frequency power from the RFPA. The printed circuit board has at least one conductive pad etched on the printed circuit board. One of the conductive pads is electrically connected to the connector. The conductive plate is attached beneath the printed circuit board. The first inductor is electrically connected to the connector and electrically connected to a first electrode or top slab of the slab laser.

    摘要: A system for circulating an alkali vapor to operate as, for example, a gain medium in a diode pumped alkali laser. The system includes a pump configured to pump a buffer gas to a metal source. A source heat exchanger heats the alkali metal source to produce a metal vapor that flows with the buffer gas. An action chamber receives the metal vapor and buffer gas combination and contains the combination while the metal vapor performs its required functions. The metal vapor and buffer combination continue to flow to a metal vapor trap and heat exchanger that cools the metal vapor and buffer gas combination. The metal vapor trap collects alkali metal condensate as the combination cools. The diffuser transport channel provides an inflow of clean buffer gas to the pump. The pump provides a circulating gas flow through the closed loop system.

    摘要: In a slab laser, a gas mixture containing carbon dioxide CO2 is formed as a laser-active medium in a discharge space which is formed between two plate-shaped metal electrodes, the flat faces of which are located opposite one another. A resonator mirror is arranged on each of the mutually opposite end faces of the discharge space, the mirrors forming an unstable resonator parallel to the flat faces. At least one of the mutually facing flat faces is provided either on the entire flat face with a dielectric layer the thickness of which is greater on at least one sub-surface than in the remaining area of the flat face, or the at least one flat face is provided with a dielectric layer exclusively on at least one sub-surface.
