    摘要: A method for a connection mode terminal to hand over between a home cell and a public cell in a mobile communication system is provided. In the mobile communication system including the home cell and the public cell, a region of the terminal is determined and a random access channel for the handover is pre-allocated. When the normal handover from the home cell to the public cell fails, the access to the public cell is accomplished using the pre-allocated random access channel. Therefore, the handover failure rate can be lowered.

    摘要: Disclosed is a handoff processing method capable of restarting fast communications. The handoff processing method stores in a handoff buffer Host Control Interface (HCI) data and transmission data upon communications in a state where an Access Point is interlinked with an external device. Further, the method forwards the HCI data and the transmission data buffered in the handoff buffer to a new Access Point (AP) transmitting a message indicating setup completion of a connection if the message indicating setup completion of a connection with the external device is transmitted from the new AP after a handoff occurs as the external device moves. Accordingly, throughputs are not lowered despite handoff occurrences in poor wireless channel environments, so that service quality can be enhanced.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for generating and parsing a MAC PDU in a mobile communication system are provided in which LCIDs of MAC SDUs to be multiplexed are checked, the length of an LF is determined for each of the MAC SDUs, referring to LF lengths predetermined for the LCIDs, a MAC header including the LCIDs and LFs of the determined lengths for the MAC SDUs is generated, and a MAC PDU is generated by attaching the MAC header to payload including the MAC SDUs. During the MAC header generation, if a padding size required for the MAC PDU generation calculated taking into account the absence of a last LF in the MAC header is larger than the length of the last LF, the last LF is included in the MAC header, the required padding size is recalculated, taking into account the inclusion of the last LF, and a padding is added according to the re-calculated padding size.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for avoiding waste of resources by dynamically allocating a length of a Logical Channel IDentification (LCID) of a header included in a Media Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) are provided. The apparatus includes a header generator for evaluating a MAC Service Data Unit (SDU) to be multiplexed and for dynamically allocating LCID information according to the evaluated MAC SDU, when radio bearer information is modified. Accordingly, the conventional problem can be solved in which a large number of bits are unnecessarily wasted since the length of the LCID is fixedly allocated or in which logical channels cannot be sufficiently used.

A length of a fragment, a data rate, and a transmission power is selected to transmit a frame with minimum energy consumption in a contention period and a contention-free period.
