    摘要: A method of and an apparatus for guiding a prosthesis utilizing a flexible sheath in combination with a guide member is taught. Basket forceps assembly which is known in the art is utilized to fracture a calculus located within a coeloma is coupled to the guide member. The guide member carrying the basket is inserted into the coeloma so as to allow it to move past a restriction within the coeloma and without injuring the walls of the coeloma. The guide member, once moved past the restriction, is used as a guide to dispose a prosthesis passed over the guide member at a given location in a smooth manner.

    摘要: A disinfection indicator mounted on medical equipment which is inserted into a channel for forceps and repeatedly used after thermal sterilization, includes a deformable portion, made of a shape memory alloy having a one-way shape memory effect, which is deformed plastically by an external force, from a shape indicating disinfection of the medical equipment to a predetermined original shape when the medical equipment is in use, and which is modified from the original shape to the shape indicating disinfection of the medical equipment when the medical equipment is heated to a temperature higher than a predetermined temperature.

    摘要: An endoscope apparatus includes an endoscope of the motor drive type which includes at least an image pickup means within an insertable portion thereof and are operable by giving operating orders to drive units for bending, air and water feed operations. The endoscope apparatus further includes observation means and operating means for the bending, air and water feed which are disposed respectively at positions remote from the endoscope body in such a manner that a plurality of operators of the endoscope can simultaneously perform the same operations while observing the same image being observed.

    摘要: A co-reviewing device has a body having a connecting portion detachably connected to the eyepiece section of an endoscope, and having a main eyepiece section to which a photographing device can be connected. A sub-eyepiece section is connected to the body. A support frame 21 supporting a half prism and a transmitting prism is arranged in the body to be movable between a first position where the half prism is on the optical axis of the beam, which is sent from the endoscope into the body, to divide the beam and guide the divided beams into the main and sub-eyepiece sections, and a second position where the transmitting prism is on the optical axis to guide all of the beam to the main eyepiece section. A changeover mechanism is arranged in the body to engage with the support frame and to be engageable with the photographing device. The changeover mechanism switches the support frame to its second position, in accordance with the operation of connecting the photographing device to the main eyepiece.
