摘要: A medical instrument comprises an instrument control surface configured to mate with an instrument sterile adapter to receive input drive forces through the sterile adapter to control actuation of the surgical instrument, the instrument control surface comprising a first opening defined in the instrument control surface. A latch structure of the instrument comprises a locking surface configured to engage a latch arm in response to the latch arm being received in the opening, wherein in an engaged state of the latch arm with the locking surface the medical instrument is attached to the instrument sterile adapter and the latch structure prevents movement of the latch arm in a first direction. A latch release is moveable in the engaged state of the latch arm with the locking surface to exert a force causing movement of the latch arm in a second direction to disengage the latch arm from the locking surface.

摘要: An ultrasound transducer sheath includes a first portion comprising a first flexible material. The first portion forms a cylinder defining a passage between a first end and an opposite second end of the first portion. A second portion comprising a second flexible material is coupled to the first end of the first portion. The second portion forms an impermeable planar layer having an exterior surface and an opposing interior surface. An adhesive layer is formed on the interior surface of the impermeable planar layer. The adhesive layer is configured to provide an acoustic coupling interface between an ultrasound transducer and a patient.

The cover has a connector that removably couples to an endoscope. The cover can be disposed after use (e.g., after a single use or procedure), allowing the wireless camera (e.g., wireless camera module) to be reused in multiple surgical procedures and to not require autoclaving (or other sterilization) between surgical procedures.

摘要: Methods for preventing contamination of an endoscope may include coupling a sheath device to cover both the inside and outside of the endoscope. The sheath device may include a rigidizing flexible tubular external sheath that extends over the endoscope to form an external protective barrier, a tubular internal sheath that extends within a lumen of the endoscope that forms an internal protective barrier, and a cap sealed to both the external sheath and the internal sheath. The sheath may be rigidized to enhance insertion.

摘要: A method for attaching a surgical instrument to an instrument carriage includes engaging an instrument sterile adapter with an instrument carriage using a first latch mechanism of the instrument sterile adapter; and engaging a surgical instrument with the instrument sterile adapter using a second latch mechanism of the instrument sterile adapter. In an engaged state of the second latch mechanism with surgical instrument the first latch mechanism is not disengageable from the instrument carriage. The first latch mechanism and the second latch mechanism are coupled to a frame portion of the instrument sterile adapter via a connecting member.

摘要: An endoscope accessory, such as a coupler device, is provided that includes a main body with a visualization section for allowing viewing of tissue by the endoscope and a proximal end configured for attachment to a distal end portion of the endoscope. The device includes a passage within the main body having an open distal end and a proximal end aligned with the working channel of the endoscope. A locking element on the coupler device secures an angle of exit of an instrument passing through the passage.

Once authenticated, operation parameters of the intraoral scanning system can be automatically set based on information from a scanned identifier on the sleeve.
