摘要： An air conditioner and a method for controlling the same include a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator, a receiver for storing at least one portion of a refrigerant passing through the condenser and a gas/liquid separator for filtering a liquid refrigerant of the refrigerant introduced from the receiver to supply a gaseous refrigerant into the compressor includes a first flow rate regulator for controlling the amount of refrigerant supplied into the receiver, a second flow rate regulator for controlling the amount of refrigerant introduced from the receiver into the gas/liquid separator, a first detection unit for detecting the amount of refrigerant stored in the receiver, and a control unit for controlling an opening degree of the first or second flow rate regulator, based on information of at least one of the amount of refrigerant detected by the first detection unit and the amount of refrigerant circulating in the air conditioner.

摘要： An accumulator and an air conditioner having the same are provided. The air conditioner may include at least one indoor unit connected to an outdoor unit, the outdoor unit including a compressor compressing refrigerant and an accumulator transferring gas refrigerant into the compressor. The accumulator may include a housing, an inflow tube guiding refrigerant into the housing through a guide tube, and a discharge tube discharging the refrigerant from the housing. A portion of the guide tube protrudes out of the housing, and a distance between the discharge tube and a bottom of the housing is greater than that between the protruded portion of the guide tube and the bottom of the housing.

A refrigerant system includes: an outdoor heat exchanger disposed in an operating loop of the refrigerant system and configured to perform a heat exchange between outdoor air and a refrigerant; a compressor disposed in the operating loop and configured to compress the refrigerant; an indoor heat exchanger disposed in the operating loop and configured to perform a heat exchange between indoor air and the refrigerant; an expander disposed in the operating loop and configured to expand the refrigerant; a refrigerant storage connected to the operating loop and configured to receive and store the refrigerant from and discharge the refrigerant to the operating loop; and a refrigerant storage controller configured to control a total amount of refrigerant in the operating loop based on an indoor air conditioning load and an amount of the stored refrigerant.

摘要： An oil separator and an air conditioner using the same are provided. The air conditioner may include at least one indoor unit connected to an outdoor unit by a refrigerant tube. The outdoor unit may include a compressor and an oil separator including a plurality of oil recovery tubes introducing oil into the compressor. The oil separator may include a housing, a suction tube guiding oil-mixed refrigerant into the housing, a discharge tube discharging refrigerant separated from the oil-mixed refrigerant, and first and second recovery tubes discharging oil separated from the oil-mixed refrigerant. At least one of the first or second recovery tubes may include an oil valve guiding a movement direction of the oil.
