摘要： A process for preparing a high-purity quaternary ammonium salt comprising: (1) adding an oxide or hydroxide of a Group 1, 2, 12 or 13 metal to a quaternary ammonium salt containing a protonic acid salt of a tertiary amine as an impurity and thereby neutralizing the tertiary amine protonic acid salt with the metal oxide or hydroxide to convert the acid salt to a tertiary amine and water and to convert the metal oxide or hydroxide to a metal salt at the same time, and (2) removing the tertiary amine, water and metal salt produced from the system.

摘要： A thrust-out type container for a rod-like article such as a lipstick comprises, in the order from the outside to the inside as viewed in a diametric direction of the container, an outer cylinder, an inner cylinder and a carrier. The carrier serves to support the rod-like article attached thereto. A control cylinder integrated with the inner cylinder lies outside the outer cylinder. An intermediate cylinder is interposed between the outer cylinder and the control cylinder. The intermediate cylinder comprises an upper portion extending upward beyond an upper end of the control cylinder and a lower portion extending into the control cylinder. A coupling member serving to couple the inner cylinder and the intermediate cylinder to each other is snap-engaged with the lower portion of the intermediate cylinder.

摘要： A cosmetic container (10) comprises a housing assembly (1, 3, 4, 7, 9) with an annular projection (8) and a cap assembly (11, 12) with an inner cap member (12) engageable with the annular projection. The inner cap member has a thin wall portion (15) defined between a pair of upper and lower annular external swells (16, 17), which is deformed to provide air-tight engagement with the annular projection in a capped condition. The lower swell (16) acts as a first stopper against removal of the cap assembly from the housing assembly, whereas the upper swell (17) acts as a second stopper against excessive insertion of the housing assembly into the cap assembly.
