    摘要: Disclosed are a method of and a device for measuring different kinds of photosensitive toners each being sensitive to light with a different range of wavelengths and contained in a photosensitive toner mixture which is used for forming a color image by a single exposure and developing operation. One or more than one kind of light is selected from the different kinds of light having wavelengths to which the respective kinds of toners are sensitive, so as to be projected to the photosensitive toner mixture, so that one or more kinds of photosensitive toners sensitive to the projected light are discharged. The one or more kinds of discharged photosensitive toners are separated from the one or more kinds of charged photosensitive toners, and the amount of the charged photosensitive toners is measured. On the basis of the amount of each kind of photosensitive toner that is not sensitive to the projected light, the density of that photosensitive toner, or other photosensitive toners are determined.

    摘要: The amount of ink ejected from a recording head is measured using a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) method. An ink detector arranged outside an image area includes an AT-cut quartz oscillator constructed by vapor-depositing Al electrodes on both surfaces of a quartz plate, and the ink ejected from the recording head mounted on a carriage is deposited on this quartz oscillator. A change in resonant frequency caused in the quartz oscillator due to the deposition of the ink is detected, and the mass of the ink ejected from the recording head is measured based on the detection results.

    摘要: In a method of adjusting record displacement of a serial printer including a recording head which records a plurality of lines at a time in the main scanning direction, a first test pattern which is formed of a plurality of line patterns spaced apart by a prescribed distance is recorded in the main scanning direction, the record sheet is fed by a prescribed amount, and a second test pattern which is formed of prescribed recording patterns is recorded. Based on the positional relations between the first and second test patterns, the feeding amount of the record sheet is adjusted. Since the feeding amount of the record sheet is adjusted based on the positional relations between the first and second test patterns, record displacement in the feeding direction of the record sheet can be adjusted easily, and the cost increase of the serial printer can be suppressed.
