An implantable cardiac stimulation device and method provide electrical stimulation therapy to stabilize the ventricular rate of a heart during episodes of atrial fibrillation. The stimulation therapy may be a plurality of stimulation pulses delivered to the AV node during the AV node refractory period following the sensing of an atrial event. Alternatively, the stimulation therapy may be a plurality of sub-threshold stimulation pulses delivered to capture AV node vagal innervations following the detection of atrial fibrillation.

Provided are an RFID operating system and an RFID system operating method for allowing multiple RFID readers to read tags without collision. The RFID system operating method includes the steps of grouping RFID readers spaced apart by more than a spacing distance capable of avoiding collision between RFID readers into a single group to determine at least one group, classifying RPM readers included in each group into at least one sub-group based on a read time of each RFID reader, and driving the RFID readers such that RPM readers belonging to at least two different sub-groups that do not collide with each other simultaneously operate. According to the present invention, switching is performed sub-group by sub-group to reduce the number of switching operations and sub-groups can simultaneously operate to decrease a read time.

A frequency of input power is selected with a first keypad, and a weight unit is selected with a second keypad provided on a microwave oven. A displaying unit is connected with the key inputting devices and displays operating conditions of the microwave oven that are set by the first and second keypads. A controller detects the operating conditions by checking whether the displaying means and each of the first and second keypads form closed loops by applying control signals to the loops and sets the detected operating conditions as preset operating conditions of the microwave oven. Then, the controller controls the cooking operation of the microwave oven according to the preset conditions.

A microwave oven having a silent cooking mode and a method for operating the microwave oven are disclosed. The microwave oven has a magnetron driving section connected to a secondary winding of a high voltage transformer which receives an external power source via a primary winding thereof. A fan motor ventilates a cooking chamber of the microwave oven and a silent cooking mode selecting key selects the silent cooking mode. Voltage dividing section divides the voltage of the external power source. Switching section supplies the external power source to the fan motor at a normal cooking mode and supplies the external power source of which the voltage is divided by the voltage dividing section to the fan motor at the silent cooking mode. Control section controls the switching section in response to a key signal from the silent cooking mode selecting key. Accordingly, when the user selects the silent cooking mode, a noise generated from the fan motor is reduced remarkably. As a result, the user can comfortably cook food at night.

An inrush current protection circuit for preventing generation of inrush current when an AC voltage is intermittently applied to a load, and an application of the circuit to a microwave oven. A switch is interposed between a power source for supplying an AC signal and a load. A positive characteristic thermistor, which restricts a magnitude of a current applied to the load to a predetermined value even when an inrush current of over a predetermined magnitude is applied thereto, is interposed between the power source and the load and connected in parallel to the switch. A DC relay provides to the switch a signal for turning ON the switch which is energized by the DC signal provided from a rectifier after a delay time passes from the time that the AC signal is inputted to the rectifier and is turned OFF. The turned-ON switch is provided to a bypassing circuit of the positive characteristic thermistor, and the AC signal is supplied to the load through the positive characteristic thermistor for the predetermined delay time from the time that the AC signal is received, and is supplied to the load through the switch after the predetermined delay time passes, thereby effectively cutting off the inrush current generated during when a power is intermittently supplied. The inrush current protection circuit can be employed to a power source of a microwave oven to prevent the inrush current from be flowing into a high voltage transformer.
