Abstract: Curable epoxy compositions, their cured compositions, and uses for such cured compositions are described. The curable epoxy compositions include a boron tri-halide accelerator and a curing system including one or more crosslinking agents. The crosslinking agent(s) include at least two primary amine groups and at least one tertiary amide group. The primary amine groups and the tertiary amide groups may be present on the same crosslinking agent or may be present on different crosslinking agents.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a curable casting resin precursor, comprising (a) a first part (A) comprising: (a1) at least one epoxy resin; (b) a second part (B) comprising: (b1) at least one first amine-based epoxy curing agent; (b2) optionally, at least one second amine-based epoxy curing agent; (b3) at least one mineral filler; (b4) at least one phenolic lipid; wherein part (A) and/or part (B) comprise at least one triphenylmethane dye. The curable casting resin precursor is suited for encapsulating metal parts such as cable joints and the like.

Abstract: A barrier article comprises a multilayer article that includes a plurality of core layers and a plurality of binder layers, wherein at least one core layer includes a woven or nonwoven fiber mat or fabric, and wherein at least one binder layer includes a silicone material. The plurality of core layers and binder layers are arranged in an alternating manner. The barrier article is operatively adapted to survive or withstand at least seven cycles of the Torch and Grit Test. The barrier article can be flexible and can provide a thermal insulation and blast protection barrier in, for example, a rechargeable electrical energy storage system.
