    摘要: An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing received in the metallic shell, receptacle terminals, and a grounding plate. The receptacle terminals and the grounding plate are at the insulated housing. The insulated housing includes a base portion and a tongue portion extending from the base portion. The grounding plate includes a plate body, extension arms, and contact regions. The front of the plate body is near to a front lateral surface of the tongue portion, and the rear of the plate body is extending to the base portion. The plate body is between the receptacle terminals. The extension arms are extending from the plate body. The contact regions are formed on the extension arms and in contact with an inner wall of the shell body. Accordingly, the grounding plate is in contact with the metallic shell for providing grounding and reducing the electromagnetic interference.

    摘要: A plug terminal includes a main body, a contact portion, and a connecting portion. The contact portion is extending outwardly from the main body, so that the contact portion and the main body form a clamping structure. The contact portion includes a first spring arm and a second spring arm. An inner side of the first spring arm includes adjacent first and second contact protrusions. The second spring arm faces the first spring arm. An inner side of the second spring arm includes adjacent third and fourth contact protrusions. The third contact protrusion faces the first contact protrusion, and the fourth contact protrusion faces the second contact protrusion. Accordingly, when a plug connector is mated with a receptacle connector, the contact area between the connectors can be increased by the plural contact protrusions to guarantee the stability of the electrical contact between plug terminals and receptacle terminals.

    摘要: An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulating housing, receptacle terminals, and a shield shell covering the insulating housing. The receptacle terminals, arranged in a row and disposed on the insulating housing, sequentially include a first ground terminal, a first power terminal, two first differential signal terminals, a second power terminal, and a second ground terminal. The electrical receptacle connector is capable of receiving an electrical plug connector to be inserted therein in either upside-up or upside-down directions. The electrical plug connector includes upper-row plug terminals and lower-row plug terminals arranged in 2-fold rotational symmetry. Therefore, the electrical receptacle connector using the single-row receptacle terminals and the electrical plug connector using the corresponding double-row plug terminals compose a new type of USB Type-C connectors.

    摘要: Electrical connector includes an insulative body, first and second terminals, shielding housing, and adhesive. The insulative body has a tongue piece and a base having first and second positioning grooves. Each of the first terminals has a first positioning part received in the insulative body, a first electrical contact part exposed from the tongue piece, and a first bonding part accommodated in a corresponding one of the first positioning grooves and protruding from the base. Each of the second terminals has a second positioning part received in the base, a second electrical contact part exposed from the tongue piece, and a second bonding part accommodated in a corresponding one of the second positioning grooves and protruding from the base. Adhesive is injected into the first and second positioning grooves to encapsulate the first bonding parts in the first positioning grooves and the second bonding parts in the second positioning grooves.

    摘要: A connector assembly has a plug and socket; the plug includes an insulative body, at least one first power contact, at least one second power contact and a metal shield. The insulative body has a base portion and a tongue portion extending from the base portion. The tongue portion includes a plurality of power contact grooves and penetrates through the base portion, and at least one first convex portion defined in a periphery of the tongue portion. The first power contact and the second power contact are respectively formed on the power contact grooves of the insulative body for connection to a power source in a socket of host device. The metal shield encloses the tongue portion of the insulative body to cover the tongue portion. Consequently, the charging speed can be increased, reducing charging time.

    摘要: An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulated housing in a metallic shell. First and second receptacle terminals are on the insulated housing. The receptacle terminals include first and second high-speed signal terminals. The metallic shell includes a receptacle cavity for receiving the insulated housing, an insertion opening being in communication with the receptacle cavity, pins at two sides of the metallic shell and outwardly extending, and an external protruding structure on a bottom surface for connecting to a circuit board. The external protruding structure forms an enclosed structure. Therefore, the seamless configuration improves the reduction to electromagnetic interference.
