Described herein is a flooring member comprising: a panel body and a sound-deadening composition applied to a vertical portion of at least one of a first or a second profiled edge of the panel body, the sound-deadening composition including: a first wax having a melting point between about 53° C. and about 56° C. and a second wax having a melting point between about 67° C. and about 71° C.

A flooring underlayment is disclosed that is particularly useful for the installation and formation of floating floor systems. In on embodiment, the invention can be an integral composite underlayment comprising: a flexible support layer having an upper surface and a lower surface; a pre-applied adhesive layer disposed on the upper surface of the flexible support layer, and a release layer coupled to disposed on the adhesive layer.
Abstract:
A method for improving the appearance of a hard-surfaced floor. The method includes selecting a tinted coating comprising a base component and at least one colorant wherein the colorant is selected from the group consisting of a tint, a dye, and a pigment; applying the tinted coating to a topcoat on a top surface of the hard-surfaced floor; and urging the tinted coating into any scratches in the hard-surfaced floor.
