Abstract: Techniques for mobile broadband and machine type communication network coexistence are provided. A method can include embedding, by a system comprising a processor, narrowband carriers, comprising a first narrowband carrier having a first bandwidth and a second narrowband carrier having the first bandwidth, into respective portions of an enhanced wireless broadband carrier, the enhanced wireless broadband carrier having a second bandwidth that is greater than the first bandwidth; transmitting, by the system to network equipment via the first narrowband carrier, a master information block comprising a first bandwidth field indicative of the first bandwidth and a second bandwidth field, distinct from the first bandwidth field, indicative of the second bandwidth; and scheduling, by the system, the network equipment on the second narrowband carrier in response to transmitting the master information block to the network equipment.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that can store executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can include generating a first signal in an initial domain and transforming the first signal into a first portion of a time-frequency grid of a time-frequency domain, resulting in a transformed first signal. The operations further include combining the transformed first signal with a second signal of a second portion of the time-frequency grid, resulting in a combined signal, and transmitting the combined signal to a user equipment device for a further transformation. The operations further include receiving a response signal from the user equipment device that was configured, based on the further transformed first signal.

Abstract: During a sidelink process, a configured grant can be utilized for data reception. For example, one user device (e.g., gnodeB or local manager user equipment) can send a signal to a receiving UE indicating that the user device should monitor a specific channel for a specific time. The user device can then send another signal to a transmitting user equipment indicating that it needs to transmit on a specific sub channel at the specific time or window of time. Thus, the user device can facilitate scheduling of data transmissions/receptions such that radio resources are preserved.

Abstract: Facilitating shared demodulation reference signal design for control channels in a wireless communications system is provided herein. A system can comprise a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can comprise evaluating a usage parameter of a mobile device for application of channel demodulation reference signal reuse by the mobile device. In response to a first determination that the usage parameter satisfies a condition relative to a threshold usage parameter, the operations can comprise facilitating a first transmission to the mobile device to implement the channel demodulation reference signal reuse by the mobile device. In response to a second determination that the usage parameter does not satisfy the condition relative to the threshold usage parameter, the operations can comprise facilitating a second transmission to the mobile device to implement usage of separate channel demodulation reference signals.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards dynamic resource coordination that supports multi-hop based relaying for integrated access and backhaul (IAB) in New Radio (5G). Described is a technology in which an IAB node and a serving parent node use wireless signaling to dynamically adapt downlink and uplink resources used for access and backhaul links. An IAB node receives scheduling data from a parent node, configures a frame structure comprising mobile termination function subframes and distributed unit component subframes, and communicates data based on the frame structure. The parent node explicitly or implicitly indicates that a portion of the scheduling data is adaptable, e.g., sends a dynamic frame structure coordination message. In response, the IAB node can adapt the frame structure into a modified frame structure and can communicate further data based on the modified frame structure.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards sharing a radio by multiple subscriber identities at a device. A time division multiplexing pattern at the device radio gives primary radio use to a first subscriber identity, while also providing time windows for radio use to a second subscriber identity. In response to a communication by the second subscriber identity, the time division multiplexing pattern can be changed to give the primary radio use to the second subscriber identity. Also, a radio resource control protocol can designate appropriate states for the different subscriber identities, designating the subscriber identity with primary radio use as connected, while the other subscriber identity is designated as inactive or idle.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is directed towards a clear channel assessment procedure based on a common preamble, such as for use with 3GPP and IEEE 802.11 technologies, or any other radio technology, including for use in the 6 GHz band. Detection of the common preamble is based on detecting known sequences in signal part, which can be detected without decoding the preamble's payload (channel) part to determine an ongoing transmission's duration. If an ongoing transmission is detected, subsequent energy detection monitoring is performed to determine when transmission ends, which can use a different energy detection threshold from what is used in the initial clear channel assessment's energy detection. The technology facilitates the usage of different sampling rates by different radio technologies that work concurrently in the same unlicensed band, by correlating a received preamble with a stored preamble that accounts for deterministic distortions arising from the different sampling rates.
