Disclosed herein is a compression paddle comprising a paddle base 12; and a paddle wall 20 comprising a first side-wall 22; and a second side-wall 24; wherein the first side-wall 22 and/or the second side-wall 24 are disposed upon the paddle base 12 and inclined with respect to the paddle base 12 at an angle that is effective to permit an x-ray beam uninterrupted access to an object of interest located on an opposing side of the paddle base 12 from an x-ray source when an angle between a central axis of the x-ray beam and a vertical taken at an inner surface of the first side-wall 22 and/or the inner surface of the second side-wall 24 is about 15 degrees to about 75 degrees.

摘要:
Dynamically rehosting at least one or more elements of a first resource originally hosted at an origin server. A dynamic web content transformation server receives a first HTTP request from an Internet client for the first resource that includes a value in a host header field that refers to the dynamic web content transformation server. The content transformation server transforms the first HTTP request including changing the value in the host header field to refer to the origin server, and transmits the transformed HTTP request to the origin server. The content transformation server receives an HTTP response from the origin server that includes the first resource that includes a client-side script that, when executed by the Internet client, makes a second HTTP request for a second resource hosted at the origin server. The content transformation server automatically transforms the HTTP response such that the client-side script, when executed by the Internet client, makes the second HTTP request for the second resource at the dynamic web content transformation server, and the content transformation server transmits the transformed HTTP response to the Internet client.

Apparatus for compressing tissue to be scanned for medical imaging is provided. The apparatus may comprise a compression membrane and a tensioning apparatus coupled to the membrane to apply a tensile force to the membrane to place the membrane in a taut condition during an imaging process. In one exemplary application that combines ultrasound scanning with X-ray mammography, the compressing apparatus enables accurate, reproducible ultrasound images reducing distortion and attenuation, which may otherwise be introduced as a consequence of such a combination of imaging processes.

A method for multi-modality registration using virtual cursors including receiving a two-dimensional image dataset for an object at a first position and receiving a three-dimensional image dataset for the object at the first position. The three-dimensional image dataset includes a plurality of image slices. The two-dimensional image dataset is registered with the three-dimensional image dataset without taking into account a magnification factor. A user cursor position for a location in the two-dimensional image dataset is received. A slice of interest in the three-dimensional image dataset is received. The slice of interest is selected from the plurality of image slices in the three-dimensional image dataset. A shadow cursor position for a location in the three dimensional dataset is calculated. The shadow cursor position corresponds to the user cursor position and the calculating includes a correction for the magnification factor corresponding to the shadow cursor position for the slice of interest. The shadow cursor position is output.

In accordance with embodiments of the present technique, a combined mammography and ultrasound imaging system is provided. The system includes an ultrasound probe, which transmits ultrasound signals to a breast of a patient and receives reflected ultrasound signals from the breast. The system further includes a first acoustic coupling sheath. A first side of the first acoustic coupling sheath is coupled to a face of the ultrasound probe. The system also includes a mammography compression plate for compressing the breast of the patient. A second acoustic coupling sheath coupled to a side of the mammography compression plate contacts the breast of the patient.

Dynamically transforming web content is described. An HTTP request is received from an Internet client. The web resource identified in the HTTP request is accessed. The content of the web resource is analyzed. A set of transformation instructions are applied on a set of identified portions of the content of the web resource. Each applied transformation instruction includes logic to locate and manipulate at least an identified portion of the content, and at least one of the applied transformation instructions is a client-side script transformation instruction that performs one or more of: modify a client-side script included in the content, remove a client-side script included in the content, and add a client-side script to the content. An HTTP response is rendered that includes the results of the applied transformation instructions and further includes those portions of the content that were not manipulated by a transformation instruction. The response is then transmitted to the Internet client.
