    摘要: The present invention discloses a method for controlling growth of hair on human skin with low doses of electromagnetic radiation, and a device (1) for carrying out the method. In the method, radiation (13) of a suitable spectrum is applied to the skin (12), in one or more pulses of between 1 and 100 ms, and with maximum fluencies on the skin between 1 and 12 J/cm2. By applying such low fluencies and at controlled pulse durations, follicles of the hairs are induced to the catagen phase. This means that the growth of the hairs of those follicles will stop. Although the method is not primarily aimed at immediate hair removal, hairs may be shed subsequently. In any case, further growth may be stopped for prolonged periods of time. The main advantage of the method is that the risk of damage to the skin is minimized.

A source of ultrasound waves at a predetermined frequency also being provided. The bubbles in the liquid medium being output toward the surface. The ultrasound waves also being directed toward the surface so that the bubbles vibrate at the predetermined frequency of the ultrasound waves. The predetermined size of the bubbles is approximately related to the frequency of the ultrasound waves.

    摘要: A photo-epilation device (1) comprises: a hand-held housing (10) with at least one window opening (11); a lamp (20) accommodated in the housing for generating light having a spectral range from approximately 575 nm to approximately 1700 nm; and a control device (70) for driving the lamp (20). The lamp is switched on in brief pulses having a pulse duration in the range from 1.1 ms to 1.9 ms, preferably about 1.8 ms, and a pulse repetition frequency in the range from 0.1 Hz to 0.5 Hz. The fluence on skin level is in the range from 2 to 7 J/cm2, dependent on the skin type, particularly from: 5 to 7 J/cm2 for skin types I, II, III; 4 to 6 J/cm2 for skin type IV; 3 to 5 J/cm2 for skin type V; and 2 to 3 J/cm2 for skin type VI.
