The texels are chosen to shade the images based on their orientation in a scene. The colors may be obtained once, in a pre-rendering process. The colors may then be selected in a run-time process.

The processor may send vertex data to the graphics memory via the data bus. The vertex shader may read the vertex data from the graphics memory and may subdivide the vertex data into subdivided vertex data. The vertex shader may also write the subdivided vertex data to the graphics memory.

摘要: A pencil-sketch image is rendered from three-dimensional (3D) data by determining a pencil-sketch texture for a polygon defined by the 3D data, projecting the polygon onto a two-dimensional surface, and mapping the pencil-sketch texture onto the polygon to render the pencil-sketch image. The pencil-sketch texture is determined by obtaining a value based on a normal vector to the polygon and a light vector between the polygon and a light source, classifying the polygon based on the value, and associating the pencil-sketch texture with the polygon based on the classification of the polygon.

摘要: A two-dimensional image is rendered from data for a three-dimensional model by detecting silhouette features on the three-dimensional model based on the data, and rendering polygons and the silhouette features to produce the two-dimensional image. The silhouette features are detected by detecting edges of polygons that make up the three-dimensional model, storing coordinates of detected polygon edges in an edge list, determining which of the detected polygon edges are silhouette edges, and marking, in the edge list, detected polygon edges that are silhouette edges.

摘要: A non-photorealistic image is rendered from an original model in a process which includes selecting a normal in the original model, selecting a vector from a set of vectors, and substituting the vector for the normal to produce a non-photorealistic image corresponding to the original model. The vector may be selected from a subdivision surface that defines a set of vectors, or it may be selected from a set containing a vector pointing substantially toward a virtual light source and a parameterized vector pointing between the virtual light source and a virtual eyepoint.
