Abstract: An electrical protection system for protecting an electrical circuit comprising a generator and a plurality of electrical apparatuses, each apparatus comprising a chassis. The protection system comprises a first link associated with each apparatus, connecting the chassis of the apparatus to an earth, and comprising a protection resistor. For at least one electrical apparatus operating under direct current, the associated first electrical link comprises a protection capacitor in parallel with the protection resistor. The protection system comprises a second link connecting a neutral point of the generator to the earth.

Abstract: A propeller-type propulsion system for aircraft, comprises a propeller, a plurality of electric motors comprising nested coaxial respective driveshafts, and a gearbox having an output shaft onto which the propeller is mechanically coupled, and an input shaft to which the coaxial driveshafts of the electric motors are mechanically coupled. As a result, the diameter of the propulsion system, in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the propeller, is reduced. This improves the aerodynamics and the fuel consumption of the aircraft.

Abstract: An aircraft propulsion system comprising a propeller, a plurality of electric motors, a transmission system configured to couple the electric motors to the propeller, and a propeller pitch adjustment system positioned at the rear of the transmission system. At least one of the electric motors is positioned in front of the transmission system. A connection structure is interposed between the propeller and the transmission system, the connection structure and the output shaft of the transmission system connected to the propeller being configured so that no electric motor positioned in front of the transmission system interferes with the propeller. Also an aircraft with such a system.

Abstract: A propulsive electric motor set for aircraft includes an electrical energy source and an electric motor provided with a drive shaft on which is mounted a propeller. The electric motor includes a first set of windings linked to the electrical energy source to provide a rotational drive function for the drive shaft. The electric motor further includes a second set of windings which, when the drive shaft is driven in rotation by an electric powering of the first set of windings, provides an electric generation function configured to supply non-propulsive loads of the aircraft. Thus, the non-propulsive loads of the aircraft can be electrically powered without any overload compromising the aerodynamics of the aircraft.

Abstract: A propeller-type propulsion system for aircraft comprising a propeller, a plurality of electric motors and a gearbox. The gearbox has an output shaft onto which the propeller is mechanically coupled, and has an input shaft onto which the plurality of electric motors is mechanically coupled, the input shaft being off-center with respect to the output shaft. All of the electric motors are mechanically coupled one after the other along the input shaft such that the electric motors are at least partially integrated into a space, on the opposite side of the gearbox from the propeller, that is left free owing to the input shaft and the output shaft being off-center with respect to one another. As a result, the diameter of the propulsion system, in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the propeller, is reduced. This improves the aerodynamics and the fuel consumption of the aircraft.
