摘要: A wire cut electric discharge machining apparatus capable of machining a workpiece with a machining solution to produce a work having a desired shape. The work is magnetically attracted to be held and conveyed to a desired position by one of a pair of nozzles through which the machining solution is supplied to an interelectrode gap between the workpiece and a wire-shaped electrode. Since the attraction condition is controlled to be maintained unchanged, it is possible to move and convey the work and the like to the desired position with high accuracy and safety.

摘要: In a wire electrode feeding device in a wire cut electric discharge machine, a roller unit having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a rotor which is rotated by fluid supplied thereinto, a guide pipe connected to the fluid outlet of the roller unit, and a wire electrode winding mechanism provided near the fluid outlet of the guide pipe are used to convey and remove the wire electrode which is conveyed through a lower electrode guide and an electric feeder. As the fluid is supplied into the roller unit through the fluid inlet, the rotor is rotated, so that the direction of movement of the wire electrode is changed, and the wire electrode is conveyed through the fluid outlet of the roller unit and the guide pipe to the wire electrode winding mechanism by the fluid, thus being discharged out of the machine.

摘要: A power supply unit in an electric discharge machining apparatus which is capable of supplying an AC pulse signal whose polarity is varied alternately. Due to the application of AC pulse signal to an interelectrode gap, it is possible to prevent the surface of a workpiece to be machined from being electrolytically corroded, electrolyzed and magnetized.

摘要: A wire electrode supplying device in a wire cut electric discharge machining apparatus, which is capable of automatically supplying a wire electrode with accuracy during an automatic machining operation. In the wire electrode supplying device according to the present invention, an outside diameter of a pipe guide into which the wire electrode is inserted is changed stepwise, and its one end portion is made minimum in outside diameter so that the one end portion is allowed to be inserted into a machining start hole formed in a workpiece to be machined. Therefore, in machining a workpiece having a machining start hole small in diameter, the feeding of the wire electrode can be automatically, stably and accurately achieved.

摘要: In a wire cut electric discharge machining method, feeding units having wire electrode feeding mechanisms are provided for wire electrodes different in diameter, respectively. The feeding units are moved, one at a time, to a wire electrode feeding path by cylinders coupled detachably to thereto, respectively, whereby the wire electrodes different in diameter are automatically replaced with each other, and machining conditions are automatically selected according to the diameter of a wire electrode and a machining process which are to be used. Therefore, the workpiece can be machined with the wire electrode most suitable for the given machining configuration. Thus, the method is high in machining accuracy and in machining efficiency.
